I am LUSTING after a 300 EXC, every once in awhile I hear tell of a 380. Are they still made? I sure don't find any info at the KTM website. I am a total sucker for big ring dings, I've also thought of a KX 500. Either way I'll probably wrap myself around a tree but what the heck, I get free ambulance rides.

I was riding a KDX and just added the KX500 to the stable. No trees why I live so I'm still in one piece. I was also interested in a 380 which I believe has been d/c. I know where there is one here in Southern NM, I was interested in it (it's street legal/or at least has a street legal plate!) but had already gotten the KX.

The 380sx is a beast!! You can still find them every now and then on the internet auctions. They have power for days, and are light as most 250.

They stopped building them a few years back, the 300 from what I've read is as close to perfect as you can get.

ktm make awesome big bore 2 strokes but have really stopped now. the biggest 2 stroke ktm make now is a 300 i think. the 380 was awesome and the mxc 550 was one of the biggest 2 strokes ever produced. if you could pick up a 1997 ktm mxc 550, you could have a lot of fun.....i only have a 125 but i love it.

I had a chance to ride my 520cc back to back with a 300EXC. The orange bike felt every bit as fast as mine and far lighter. I was very impressed.
