03 cr 250. I did the basic gold vlv set up front/rear. Race tech personal profile recomends much higher shock nitro charge 175psi . Stock 142 psi. Anyone know a reason or why is it better to run higher press? Another issue, has anyone had troube with the split ring on the piston in the shock? I dont like the idea but I guess it works fine?...Recently rebuilt forks, bleeding took a few trys but rods extended nicely finally..I noticed you cant start off with full inner chambers or bleeding is difficult. How can I be sure I have sufficient oil in the inner chambers. Also since there are vent holes at the top of the inner chamber wont the oil gradually make its way into the outer fork leg area and cause excessively high volume not to mention no damping in the inner? Forgive me Im new to this stuff.

I seem to remember RT using 175 psi a lot (but I could be wrong). It may be a number they use to standardize things for them.

You'll be fine at 142-150 psi; no cavitation.
