Got a quick question. I have a really small leak on my left hand rad, and was wondering if I could get that gunk (no idea what its called) you pour in and it seals the leak from the inside? My dad used it on his truck and it worked great. I would take the rad in for repair but $40 is a little steep for me now in my current job situation. Its almost like a sandy substance, just can't remember what its called. Thanks :)

I don't think that was it, but seeing that the rads are copper I doubt it would work.

JB weld will work if you can get at the leak. Mix the epoxy and smooth it over the hole. Let it dry for overnight or longer and refill the rad with fluid, bleed out the air and give it a whirl.

Hucker,
What you are talking is called "Stops Leaks". While in the ARMY I even used pepper once in a pinch during a feild exercise. Stopped the leak and got a thumbs up from my joe's.....Boy they needed that shower! :) :) :)
