repacking stock silencers

since i bought a bike nobody makes aftermarket parts for! i was wondering if any body has tried repacking a stock yz100 silencer
(i know they dont come apart) but i do have a hacksaw and a mig welder all ideas are welcome

well if any one is interested or stuck in the same boat, it wasn't as bad a job as i thought it would be. i just cut off the end packed it as tight as i could with fiber glass insulation and welded it back on! sounds better and there seems to be a bit more midrange

good job. I did a similar to my 490. Had to cut the forward part of canister apart. Later I got my DG setup.
