I am racing at the weekend and want to know if there would be any overly strange effects on grip if I stick a michelin m12 back tire on backwards? I used the tire a couple of weeks ago and wore the front of the knobblies. The back of the them are still nice and sharp and it seems a waste to not make use of that. Alternatively I could use the reverse of a fractionally more worn non-directional dunlop.

Run the m12 in the right direction. Even though it is worn, it will still give better traction than if you reverse it. As soon as the knobs round off a little, traction will be horrible, except for braking.
