Hey shifting you can do it, but its a lot of money. I went thru the microfiche and priced out all the parts. Yes if you completely grenaded the motor and had to start new. I would do it, but I think a port job on an 04 set up with race gas is more economical.

Britt, I've put about 30hours on my 05 CR250 and it hasn't used a drop of coolant whereas my 04 needed topping up after every ride. The radiators have new leuvres - perhaps this has aided the cooling.

How's everyone getting on with the suspension on the new CR? I initially thought that the suspension was too soft for me as i was feeling a hard thud both front and back several times around my very rough practise track. However recently i've realised that the suspension is too stiff and that it had infact been hydraulic-ing on the standard settings. I now run the compression clicker on the fork almost full out. The suspension definitely bottoms now but fork has a much more supple and smooth action. This simple adjustment has saved 1 second per minute on my lap times. I think i'm going to soften the valving as i believe the current valving at least in the fork is too harsh. I just wondered if anyone else had the same thoughts?
