Are you working this one? Was wondering because a friend was asking about the Yamaha you might be selling and I thought I might talk to you a bit while you were there.

The sand is really funny. You will be riding along in typical Mississippi pine trees, enjoying the scenery, loving life, and suddenly . . . .OMG . . . . without warning, rhyme, or reason . . . . sand! Lots of sand!

Complete with whoops, gopher tortoises, indigo snakes, palmetto bushes, plus bits and pieces of broken motorcycle! :aj:

Twilight zone sort of stuff.

Yea, I'll have the YZ with me and may have to use it to get
around if the rear break parts fot the 450 dont come in but
i'm going set it out at the sign in area. I'll be in a dark blue

I'll be there Sunday morning hopefully by 6:30am. My cousin is getting married Saturday night in Birmingham and I can't leave until after the reception. I think he should have asked about my race schedule before planning his wedding! Me, Mark and Christy will just stop in Hattiesburg and do the hotel thing.

Anyway, I already programmed my computer but now I hear there are changes. Oh well, I'll just start over Sun monrning or find someone I can download from. Anyone running a Pacemaker 3 computer?

Sorry I missed this post before heading out. I didn't see it setting out so I am assuming you had to use the bike.

To all the Masterlinks club members.... excellent ride. I really had a blast!!! It was a really fun race! :yeehaw: :yeehaw:

That was a pretty good enduro. I was looking for a few more miles so that I could tough out my competition. In the end, it didnt work.(GO MOTOHEAD!). The sand sucked. My front end plowed all day. I crashed in about the 10th turn thats when I knew how my day was gonna go.
The checks were placed just in time for a few burns. (Thanks for those 2pts.)
Good run guys. I just dont want to see any more sand!!!!!

there were a good many people that burned check #2, i think the speed change to 12 caught a few people sleeping. It was the last possible before the following reset though.

I took a few dirtnaps and spread-eagle chindiggers, mostly in some of the rutted sections. One day I am going to have to learn to ride the ruts!! I was tired and hot at the end, but considering some of my experiences in prior races this season I felt pretty good at the end. I thought about riding the long course but since I felt reasonably well at the cut off I called it a day. No since pushing my luck!!

Well, waddya know, there WERE whoops & sand...just not as much as I expected. & nobody said anything about mud, I wasn't expecting that! Had my suspension way too stiff, boiled my back brake, hit a tree with my face, smashed the face on my watch, got lost (my fault), finished mid-pack in my class...& had a huge time! That was a fun, well-run enduro! I thoroughly enjoyed it, way more than any other time I have been down there. Congratulations to all who helped put it on.

PS to Darin: thanks to you & Debbie for feeding the Memphis Enduro Mafia 1 more time! 1 of these days we'll get to a race before 10 pm on Saturday nite. Too bad about getting stuck in the only mudhole in the whole race! How's the wrist today?
