Sand, what sand? ;) I'm with everyone else and don't want to see any more deep sand whoops any time soon. Overall, I had a really fun ride. I managed to make it though the big mud whole without getting stuck. My bike didn't fair to well, broke both fork guards (they were already cracked though) and broke the right tank shroud. Oh well, I had a great time though! :yeehaw:

Unfortunately though the trip home was detoured via Hattiesburg Emergency Room. Mark broke his collar bone a few miles from the finish. Those 5th gear high side crashes are nasty!! :(

Darin,

I had those tires but got into camp later than I had planned Sunday morning. I didn't have time to look you up. I'll bring them to the next race.

Neely; did that turn out to be a simple break?

The grass and dirt jammed into the handlebars and controls was most impressive!

Yes, luckily that's all it was. By the time we got to the ER, his knee was already feeling better and is just a little sore today. They took x-rays of his collar bone and put him in a brace. He'll be moving slow for a while but should be fine in about 6 to 8 weeks.

I had to give him a hard time about the handlebars and bark buster. They were brand new!! Seriously though, I'm just glad he wasn't hurt any worse.

I had the "hot 4 stroke no start kick 50 times" blues. I rode well though and enjoyed the terrain. Heat was tough, fire roads were cool, and we lucked out with the sand. When I left, I was in 2nd, but it was early, and I am sure I got bumped down some. Great ride. The club's checks were in really good spots. Camping in a Pecan Orchard is always cool. I don't think I have chiggers, so that is great!
I hope we get to go back again.

Mark and Gang,

Great enduro. My vote for enduro of the year even though I took too many soil samples and DNF'd, my son and I loved it (he got 2nd in his class I got 6th).

Thanks Again!
