Saddleback MX is back???

Hey all,

I've never heard of this track:

Irvine Lake MX, Silverado, CA, phone 949.367.1141

Anybody have any word on this track? Sounds like it's close to the old Saddleback track. I'm happy to see anything new in Southern California that's not freeways and tract homes.

That's the right neck of the woods for Saddleback.

I hope it is indeed a new track -- it'd be the closest to me by FAR. Also, I don't think it's that unlikely. Irvine Lake has been losing money for a long time now, and looking for new ways to generate revenue. I can't wait to check it out.

I used to live in your neighborhood (in RSM), so I'm familiar with the area. They're having the first round of the CMC Trans-Cal Nationals there, so it looks legit....

I drove around that whole area today looking for any signs of a track but didn't see anything:( . I'm going to call CMC tomorrow to see what the scoup is. It would save myself and others alot of driving time to Glenn Helen or lake Elsinor to practice, one hour verses 10 minutes:think , yeah that sounds better!!! I'll keep everyone posted on what I find out, this is too good to be true!

Yes, we are having our annual Motorcross on 9/8 and 9/9, however we do not have fliers out yet. The website will have more detailed information soon so please keep tuned in.

I called the lake this morning, she said the same thing, that the fliers will be out soon along with an add/flier in the OC Register. She said July 29th it should be open but the girls that know more weren't in yet. I'm more interested in knowing if they are open during the week for practice than anything, that would be a welcome time/gas saver since I live/work 8 miles down the toll road:) !!

Yeah, I'm guessing it is going to either be REALLY good or REALLY bad. Just as long as it doesn't turn into another Star West with all the night time warriors from Huntington Beach:p. No offence to them of course:D .
