SDG step seat

I just installed the SDG step seat on my 450. This thing fits terrible IMO. At the back of the seat where the 2 metal brackets are I can fit my hand under the seat at the fender. Any one else have this problem? I'm being told that this is normal :whoa: from the place I bought it. Still waiting to here back from SDG.
Just seems to me that for the price the thing should fit :bang:
Anyone else use one of these seats? How does it fit?

Don't you use the brackets off your old seat?

no, its comes with the brackets already attached.
