shifting problem on cr125

i juz got a 97 cr125 and it runs good except once u get past 3rd gear u cant tell that your shifting it just sounds like im pulling in the clutch. the guy that had it b4 me sed he replaced the clutch plates, could the problem be that he put them on upside down? if so how can i fix it?

I don't think you're explaining the problem very well.....

If it runs fine up until 3rd gear I don't think it's the clutch. As far as clutch plates go I don't think there's anything to be put in "upside down"
