Has anyone here heard of something called a snorunner? They're these like mini bike/ snowmobile things. They looks kinda cool and there's one in the local classified but the engine looks kinda weak. Here's a site about them, http://sno-runner.com/default.asp

I was thinking of picking one up to mess around on for the winter, my step-grandpa has a cabin in the mountains.

so has anyone ridden one or know anything about them?

I remember my neighbors having one when I was a kid. I also remember them doing more pushing than riding when there was more than a couple of inches of powder.

I thought all those were overpriced collector items now?

sno runners, also called sno rabbits, made by chrysler way back when, collapsable so it can fit in your car's truck. theyre a ball. one of my bike re-seller friends had a few of em but wanted too much $ so i couldnt get one. the engine is a little, 2 cycle air cooled motor i think rated around 5 or 6 hp been trying to pick one of for years but they're pretty rare and forget about that auction site, too much money. if you can find one cheap, grab it up. any more that a couple hunded and its not worth it

how are the engines? They look completely gutless, could it really haul a 200ib guy around?
At the time we were racing them i the neighborhood I was in the 230# neighborhood and it hauled me just fine. Never noticed much problem with powder and we ran in up to 12" fresh snow. If I could find one or two cheap enough I would sure pick em up

If money isn't a problem for you, this might catch your interest:

Those are really fun in more than one foot of snow if not they are kind of difficult to ride.
