will an 82 gas tank fit 81 kdx 250. I checked the part numbers and they don't match but the look similar. My tank is leaking a bit and theres a new one on ebay. Thanks

if they don't have the same part number, then I would think probably not. Even if they look similar, there will be just enough difference for fitting to be impossible.

FYI, Kawawasaki will change part numbers on some parts between model years, when for all intents and purposes the parts are interchangable.
