And you were expecting? Anyway......

In Oregon, if you plead "no contest", the fine is lowered. Case in point: A couple years ago I got a ticket for running a stop sign. The officer slapped me with a $185 citation.....no waring, just the ticket. It was 100% my fault, no question. So, I go to the courthouse to pay the fine. The lady at the window asks how I'd like to plead. "Plead? I don't want to plead anything.....I just want to pay the fine." So, she says, "ok, that'll be $95." I asked her why only $95, she stated because I pleaded "no contest." Worked for me.

oh and I am only 15 but I am strong and very brave but still mature!, will this bike be way to much for me? oh and for the record I am very knowledgable about maintnence and safty and how to ride properly and stuff so I am not a newbie if it helps you to know that.

thanks a bunch

Alex,

And from this post (dear old dad I believe)...
Not that I recomend speeding BECAUSE I DON'T but get a radar detector! Not that I speed alot but I drive a 2002 Corvette Z06 so I really cant help it! lol but I avoid it, but just to be safe I gots me a valentine 1 radar detector and a radar jammer!!! havnt been cought yet! (----------- if you dont want a big problem when you do manage to get pulled over I really wouldnt sugest the jammer as it is a good way to boost the fine but a well hidden detector is a idea for the people who CAN'T HELP IT.

just my two cents.

To borrow from some of his own vernacular.... you gots caught!:uh:

Honestly, I've never met a man rich enough to own a new Corvette, who used such poor grammar. Speaking it is one thing, but to go as far as to type the same dribble... geeze... I'm thinking "pusher". Maybe pimp.... but most likely just an overly enthusiastic kid.

Seriously, if we're all somehow mistaken I'm sure you'll drop your pants for us to do some kissing. Let's hear it.

As far as I can see he wrote one misspelled word in that post but thats besides the point as far as needing to be rich and the people with vettes don't use bad grammer maybe you should visit www.corvetteforum.com ! I think youll be surprised.

And dear Mr. Mod, I just found out where you found the 15 yo thing... in the yz vs. wr topic right? yup I am 14 and I guess I hit the wrong key, OMG shoot me!!!!!! And Yes "dear old dad" just happens to be named Alex too!

quoting from whomever said it you can kiss my ass. :p :p

And yah I am pretty sure I was a good distance away from any computer in french class today while I just happened to be writing a test.

Not to mention you cannot run a valentine 1 with dual (front and rear pickup)WITH a jammer ;) Everything gets very jumbled
It's pretty much impossible
Please don't ask how I know this:p

Genes. They're wonderful things. I see you & your father either share an "absence" of similar cortical areas or both of you were out driving all your new Vettes during English & spelling. Would suggest you complete some level of English before trying French....:silly:

As of the topic-I went 5 years in California, speeding everywhere without even SEEING a cop. ANYWHERE. I come to Kansas, where there's an inordinant number of roadside tax collectors, & get a bunch of speeding tickets in a row. On my way back from Denver last year, I got 2 80's in 65's in ONE FRICKIN' DAY!

Needless to say--I don't speed anymore. ANYWHERE. Only took me a short time to get that 'ol Cali driving style out of my system. Just pay the damn thing, respect the law, & quit breaking it. It's much easier that way. You speed=you are guilty=you pay fine & insurance goes through the roof. That's the reality.

Huh? I'd let FC22 check it for grammar, but I didn't misspell anything. No matter. I can remember being 14... the "special times" I'd get during history class, english, math, :o heck... that alone warrants a little leniency for you.

My second year on the job I had a guy come to court in an old beater mustang and told the judge no way he could have been going 65 in the 45 where i wrote the ticket. The judge questioned him and he was adamant that the car couldn't go that fast. The judge told me to take the car out and try it myself and when I refused he ordered me to do it or be found in contempt of court. The DA tried backing me up but the judge insisted so the DA got the owner to sign a waiver that I nor the county could be held responsible for any damages. Jumped in the car with the DA and started down the road and after I hit 65 the DA said keep it floored, at 76MPH the engine blew and we coasted to the side of the road. The DA dismissed the ticket figuring the owner couldn't speed anymore for awhile.
That was a one and only time since the judge somehow caught the brunt of the publicity for ordering it and had to defend himself for the damages

I'm not calling anyone a liar, but the only thing I hate worse than a liar is a liar who won't confess when he's been cold busted.

{QUOTE} "I don't feel I was" {END QUOTE}

Lying is not something that's subject to interpretation. Either you ARE lying, or you ARE NOT lying.

C'mon, Alex. The jig is up. We won't make fun of ya forever. . .it'll just seem like forever. ;)

Sorry bud... the writing styles between Alex and Alex are exactly alike. You two must have graduated 7th grade at the same time.... last week!

I have no time for this childish nonsense.... I have to make a beer run to Boston in my Gulfstream IV. Seems I'm all out of the fresh Sam Adams. Hmmmm.... now where did I park my airport commuter Ferrari. Oh there it is.. parked behind the Hummer and Peterbuilt Superduty SUV conversion. :silly:

Once again sorry to burst the "Happy Land" bubble where we all drive 02 Z06'S but you are in Canada just like me, where when you are 14 you can only have a learner's permit that would mean your dad would have to be in the car with you, correct?;)

Not to mention am I the only one that noticed Alex is the " Atlantic Canadian championship season races "

well I am bored out of my mind and I decided to check all my records , CMRC,CMA etc, and NOBODY that has won ANY championship's name is Alex

sorry I am done now.

ps, We can all be pals when we know we arn't wasting our typting time on some db.com dropout

ps, TWINSPAR if you KEEP parking your commuter Ferrari's on the runway of MY LEARJET I will show it no mercy! This is the 4th ferrari I had to move this week!;)

OK OK OK! Since we're baring all, I really don't work for the CHP, I'm actually a lot lizard. I walk the parking stalls for little thieves and when I catch them, I blow my handy dandy whistle. And I really don't ride a 01 Zuki, my real bike has no motor, no wheels and no bars. I'm sorry but I thought since no one would really know any better, I could be anyone I want. I'm truly sorry, (crying and feeling low right now). :):):)

Back on the whole speeding thing, the kid with the vette (HA!) has a point, a radar detector couldn't hurt if you insist on speeding. I bought the cheapest one I could find for $40 dollars at Walmart. Thing works great, I'm sure its saved my from several tickets. They won't always save your butts, lazer guns kill, if you get lazered, they've got your speed as your detector starts going off. But when I do get pulled over (I'm sure it will happen some day) I'll just take the lick'n, I'll have earned it. I don't like those insane 90 in a 50 speeders, but 78 in 65 doesn't seem so bad. :p Another great way to avoid tickets is to drive a Buick Century... don't think the cops in NY ever look at them twice. It'll run forever too!

I last received a speeding ticket in 1994. I lived in Texas, but was pulled over in another state for doing 84 in a 70. The address listed on my license, registration and proof of insurance was not correct. The ticket I was issued came with a $130 fine. I never paid the ticket or went to court and never received anything from state X. I often wonder if state X has a warrant for my arrest? :think

Elk - I paid that speeding ticket from California back in '91. Of course that was about a week after the Rodney King/LAPD incident too.

I can't speak for Canada or elsewhere but here in the US, you should fight EVERY ticket you get. It is almost the only thing that you can do to discourage this rediculous system that we have to enforce traffic rules. Obviously, some of the rules themselves are stupid but the system is worse. Join the NMA. (the other thing you can do to fight the systm; www.motorists.org) They can hep you fight the ticket. It will cost you almost nothing. I have used what I learned from them to win in court many times. Good luck and keep fighting!
