Actually they said Chad was the only one to break 50 secs.
The web cast announcers mentioned James and RC both turning 50.x laps.

Thank God Ricky is OK! That was a scary crash, especially after seeing what happened to James Marshall last week. That could have been another tragedy!

That was an emotional main event. First disappointment when Ricky pulled off. Then surprise that James didn't blow past Reed and Tedesco. Then anticipation for James to end the sport's best points battle in years. Then elation when James swapped out. Not that I don't like him because I love the kid, I was just amazed that the excitement is going to continue next week!!! To top it all off, I couldn't believe how Reed responded on the podium. He can't actually believe himself up there. He saw the gap that James put on him in Heat 1. "A lessor man would have given up."
Tedesco needs to get in shape. I would love to see him take Reed off the podium.

Reed spoke the words but you could see in his eye's he did not believe in what he was saying. I think Reed will take a dirt sample and lose the points lead in 2 races trying to run down RC and JS. Tedesco looked real good out there as well and could easily push Reed off the box. It's a fantastic season and CBS coverage is better then none. Think I'll go send then a BIG THANK YOU.

.[/QUOTE] I think Tedesco now owns Reed, after Reed called him, a chump ,a 4th place guy, Tedesco got fired up and now believes he can beat Reed, he already beat him in the heat race and his confidence is growing race by race.

I just watched RC's crash in slow motion. He launched deep into those whoops. It looked like his body was too far back when the rear tire came down on the face of the the whoop and when his rear suspension rebounded his seat hit him in the butt hard, sending his weight too far forward. Then when the his front tire hit the face of the next whoop his hand slipped off the bar, but it looked like he was already going over the bars at that point. Then again we have seen him recover from squirly moments without a crash. I'm just glad he isn't injured.

Honestly, I think Reed is smoother than Tedesco and in better shape, but Tedesco is definitley getting better and better. I would love to see Hot Sauce knock him off the podium, but he needs to work on his stamina. Reed had him by 15 seconds at the end of the race. Tedesco mentioned that he had arm pump. He did prove to himself that he could battle with Reed so I think he'll go work harder and really be a threat. I'm betting that Reed cries when that happens. :(

Did anybody see what caused Bubba to crash - watching it on T.V. it looked like he might have hit a bale laying in the track or a boulder . . . LOL Couldn't tell from the camera angle.

Watching Bubba try to get that 4 stroke started was a particularly nice moment for me . . . :nener:
It looks like he was setting up to put a move on Tedesco when his leg hit the tough block and sent him down.

He got his bike started on the track and stalled it again on the side. You can actually see a backfire flames and all when he was kicking it.

To me... the way the front-end whipped about when he blipped the throttle... it looked like his front wheel rutted.

I would personally like to see an American win the title....always do. My favorite is RC, but lets remember last season.......Reed came "on" in San Diego and rocks in the softer soil. Boy, I'm excited to tune in next week! All the "hype" counted Reed out.......welcome a 3-WAY battle! On the edge of my seat........

The commentary on CBS and SPEED sucks... They have all the love for the first place guy... It pains me hearing them say "REED WILL WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP", the the little scroll comes across the bottom "REED HAS NOT ONE SINCE MAY 2005"...
Must be nice to have the points lead and a race win handed to ya.... No way in hell has he "earned" it, he knows it also... His wife has more balls than him and HE KNOWS IT... This whole thing makes me sick... K-Dub will be back soon and fast as ever, Reed can take his rightful spot in 4th and maybe now 5th... I bet Langston lands a ride with the big blue yammi next season, thats my preiction...
Also, did any one see Whitlocks quote about the AMA rasing the CC limit on the thumpers to high? He feels they should have kept it to a 200-400CC max?

I just noticed Tony's results post lists Brown on the 450. The webcast announcers :coocoo: said he was on the 250. Which is it?

I was there and no doubt he was on a two stroke. He was running up in 4th for a while also and then something happened to push him back. I didn't see it though.

I've got tix for Indy in 2 weeks - this is the best thing that could have happened for me . . . even though I'd like to see RC the championship again.

Bubba just had a Novice moment. Everyone was cutting inside that corner to hit the triple because it was faster than railing the outside berm. He misjudged the corner and clipped a tuffblock and went down.

Then again, he may have been going a little faster than most novice riders through that turn. :yikes:

Chad Reed wins in the same round that he started winning last year. IF he finishes out this year just like last year, and RC does the same, he will beat Carmichael by 13 points.
Go ahead and check my math, Nikki! :nener:

Of course, James Stewart is in the mix too.

Reed threw down the fastest time (low 50.x) according to Denny and Ralph, and he did put some serious space on Tedesco. Maybe this is the confidence boost he needed to make this series what it should be.

I'm jacked again. One guy dominating is kinda boring. Two guys is better. Three is awesome.

"K-Dub will be back soon and fast as ever, Reed can take his rightful spot in 4th and maybe now 5th"

when didn't Reed have KW covered in SX? KW runs away from Reed outdoors but indoors Reed hasn't had too much of a problem with him. KW might be the one tangled up with Tedesco when he gets back.

also the amasupercross.com "the wire" times show Stewart and RC both with faster times in their heats than Reed ran all night, not that much faster but still...

Does anyone know what happens if at the end of the series the points standings are tied eg.(both Ricky and Bubba are tied in first place) is there a tie breaker ?

If a points tie, I believe it's: most races won, if still tied......then, most laps led, after that........it's naked mud wrestling! Ewww yuk!

Well done Chad !! We don't have TV coverage over here this year unfortunately, but from all the wailing it seems as though he's going well again. I hope this is the confidence boost he needs, and he sticks to his game plan of maintaining control of his motorcycle whilst going fast.

Why would he?

Several reasons, here are a few.....

-Reed has new found confidence
-Reed has dominated the second half of the SX season for the past few years
-Reed actually did turn it up big time in the main, once he committed to the rhythm section. He did have the fastest lap, passed Bubba back, was getting some space, and was faster in some sections/turns/etc.
-RC may not be 100% (neck, chest, arm, etc.)
-Bubba may not be 100% (he hit pretty hard too, and his lap times after the crash were down, although his bike was twisted up)
