Short version of a long search - I have been lookiing around for a decent KE250 (or evena KE175) for some time now. I have just about given up now and have been thinking about converting one of my KDX220's to a street machine. (dual sport) Don't laugh, but I have been riding around on a 01' KE100, but it just will not keep up with traffic on hills. I also have a 89' KDX 200 but I would think that the less peaky 220 would be better on the street. Thoughts to this?
I live in Washington State, and on my title it says "this vehical not eligable for street use" which I assume that would make it very hard to retitle it as a street legal vehical, reguardles if I pass all of the legal requirements for lights, tires, etc.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone in this state that has accomplished this task? I have also given some thought to relicensing it in Oregon, (less stringent) and then bringing it back into Wahington state as a "street legal" bike.
Any thoughts would be helpful/appreciated
