Why Em Cee Ay - eh

Yup DISCO, I grew up on it and still love the stuff.

Give me anything from 'Right Said Fred' ..... "I'm too sexy !", "Don't talk just kiss !", "A love for all seasons" - their first album was a killer - called UP !

I will now hang my head in shame !

Yup, give me the Village People and Gloria Gaynor as well, have both their greatest hits  Oh this is going downhill fast, the song DISCO by Ottawan - wanted to call my girl Disco .......... hmmmm ;) ... seriously !

Shakira-When ever, What ever
Puddle of Mudd-Control (I hate this band but the song is catchy)
Creed-all of their songs are cool but for some reason it has become uncool to like them. Kind of a Hootie complex.

Gospeedracer-the song Millennium was by a guy named Robbie Williams. I hated it at first but it grew on me too. He is a pretentious goober though!

Most of my metal head friends give me crap because of my huge collection of country CDs and the fact that I play in a country band.
I am a redneck head banger!

On the way home from the track the other day, I threw a CD in. It started playing and my 18 year old brother started laughing his A** off! This is the point when I realized that the Pet Shop Boys are no longer "Cool"! :o My brother would'nt leave it alone for a week. Man, "West End Girls" is an awsome Tune, IMO! Next time he was in the car, I threw in the Replacements, "Don't Tell a Soul" and he had less of a heart attack. Talk about emabarrassing. I guess I'll have to be more carefull from now on. :)

Ah but fortunately, I have the key, to escape reality.....
and you may see me tonight, with an ilegal smile,
it don't cost very much, but it lasts a long while.......
won't you please tell the man, I didn't kill anyone, no I'm just tryin to have me some fun!!!!

I think I'll throw ole John in the player on the way to work this morning! It's been a long time. :D

Please don't bury me, down in the cold, cold ground.
Rather have you cut me up and pass me all around.
Throw my brain in a hurricane, the blind can have my eyes.
The deaf can have both my ears, if they don't mind the size.:)

ususally folks don't know who John P is, much less the songs

"I got friends in low places, where the whiskey runs and the beer chases
my bloo-ooes a-way"

I can't believe I like a country song, what a sorry little life I have.

The only 'Rap' I like is, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen, one of the greatest songs ever produced. Freddie Mercury R.I.P.

Mama, just killed a man,
put a gun against his head,
pulled my trigger,
now he's dead .....

.... Anyway the wind blows .... :(

Right here! :) I'm a HUGE 80's music freak. But even I think Wham is/was a little silly. :p

I think "Macho Man" was by the Village People, if you're talking about the same song I'm thinking about.

When I need a big dose of adrenalin I just crank up
Delta Dawn!!

Everybody now

Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was coming by today
To take you to his mansion in the sky

Can't you feel it!!!! :) :) :)

OK, I hate that song (NOW) but here's one I am embarrassed to like

"I want you to want me"
Must be the singleman's song,eh?

Another member of the 1980's Breakfast Club...

"The Safety Dance", (Men Without Hats), is my dirty little secret.

Although when we were doing the punk/metal band thing, we came

this close to re-recording it as "The Safety Mosh".

"You can mosh if you want to, you can leave your friends behind. 'Cause your friends don't mosh and if they don't mosh, well they're no friends of mine!"

I'm going to go hide under my desk now. :o

Okay I'll play now. My dirty little music secret is....N'Sync...AHHH. I don't even like pop music, I mainly like their slow stuff. Flame away on me if you will. Its catchy and I can't help it.

My big problem with music is VH1 overload. I would hate to know how many episodes of Behind the Music I've watched. And Rock and Roll Jepeordy has became easy for me, I can nearly run the board. If only I could replace my music trivia knowledge with something worthwhile.

SingleTracker you should try out some more Linkin Park. There CD Hybrid Theory is one of my favorites. I can't take it out of my cd player.

Ok, I had all day to think about this. Here it is:
My 4 year old got me hooked on the sound track of Shrek. When I take him to day care,to the track, anywhere really, we have that CD cranked in the van trying to blow our ear drums out. He loves it, and now, so do I.:)

Wolf,

My kids did the same to me with the Shrek CD. Hold your head high, you are not alone.

I'm coming out to Milwaukee the end of January, we could get together and ride around listenting to the Shrek soundtrack at movie theater sound check levels. :) Couple old guys driving around in moms soccer van blasting the Shrek CD... I'd have to do it there, somebody might recognize me here, the shame would be so great that I'd have to move...

I've got it on DVD too. ;) well, the kids do, at least I let them think it's their's.
