So I'm currently in limbo awaiting my next location with my fiance. From Austin, Tx, I ride a 300xcw and potentially moving to Durham NC, Portland OR, or Denver CO for the woman's work. Yes, she is the bread winner. Nothing against MX but I get bored quickly so I prefer single track, techy, woods riding. I know a fair bit about OR and CO from past travels but absolutely nothing about NC. Anyone have info on locations, ability to ride local to the Triangle area? I work 3 days a week so have ample time to explore.

There is a lot around Charlotte, NC (outside of the City in the mountain areas).

JGR even has their test tracks and there is a good Harescramble association (NCHSA.org) there as well. Typically there are a few GNCC's each year in NC/SC and Georgia as well.

It is a great place for riders.
