A couple of days ago I posted a thread voicing my concerns about how the Christian Riders Threads were handled. The Admin. that closed the thread replied that it was a well spoken point of view, but now the thread is missing.
Was my thread deleted or moved?
Are we not allowed to suggest alternative solutions to those situations?

I dont believe religious threads are allowed on drn; as they always seem to get ugly fast.

I never said a word about my religion. That was the point, none of the Christains tried to teach you about their religion.

They merely asked if there are any other Christian Riders. Kinda like saying " Hey I'm Italian, any other Italians out there?'

What about the Marines? I saw a thread ask ' any Marines out there?' No different of a question. They serve God and Country. ( to which I am thankful for the great job they do.)

I think it is OK for someone to want to know if there are others with similar interests in the MX world. If the Marines want to get together and have a weekend ride, why not other groups?
There needs to be an objective look at the thread, see if it benefits the riding community.

Nothing wrong with saying " I am a Christian, any other Christian riders out there?"
That is the first step to meeting other people with similar ideas.

Any other people out there that think god is a silly fairy tale for the small-minded? Just curious! Maybe we can see if we can get together and ride!

Not sure which post you are talking about, but...

1) The "Christian Riders" thread was allowed to run. The preaching began, it was closed.

2) Someone started another thread "part two". It was closed. The Admin and mods do not close a thread just to have someone open another one of the same subject.

3) There is no place on this board for religous, political (not relating to dirtbikes) or racial posts. This site is about dirtbikes... not your religion, color of your skin or political leanings... those three things have nothing to do with riding or maintaining a dirtbike.

If I see you on the track in your gear, I have no idea "what" you are , who you voted for or if you prayed before starting your bike. It should be the same here.

You do not enhance the credibility of your posts by pointing out your color, religion or political views. None of those things make you a better rider, none of those things change your status here or on the track.

Due to current world events, we let some of these threads stand... people wanted to vent, make some statements, etc. We let them go until they went bad or started to.

By letting these threads stand, we've apparently given the impression that the rules are up for debate. That's not the case.

Thanks for the reply

It would be a good idea to close this thread now that other people are getting rude.

It is a shame that some other people feel they must attempt to offend others.

Exactly my point.

He was asking to meet other people with similar beliefs.

If you do not share his belief, then no reply was needed.

In order to share via email, he first would need to know who wanted to participate.

Kinda a catch22.

How can you meet with out asking?

You can find those broad minded and enlightened people at www.athiests.net .:silly:

It's curious how such a small minded bunch could have authored the U.S. Constitution.

There. That should get it closed.:)

Hey Brian, I'll try to be eloquent, w/out putting my German Catholic foot in my mouth.

If you truly want to meet other people who ride and share your faith, there was a site(s) just for that listed in the other threads. Why would you keep asking a site not intended for religious discussion when you have a list of other sites?

Please remember, most who frequent here want to bench race, tell riding stories, fib about race results, swap tech tips, etc., but that's really all we want to discuss. This is not a slam, just a viewpoint.:)

A buddy of mine seriously crashed when his rosary .....

Another buddy started a mass crash when everyone was riding west and it became prayer time......
