Where to find a used bike in CA

I am getting frustrated with my search for a bike. I am on a tight budget (<$2000) and looking for a trail/woods/desert type bike. I have looked into KDX, WR, XR, KLX but can't find anything that suits me. Is there a good resource that I am missing out on? Is this a bad time of year to try to buy a dirtbike? E**Y has bikes but they are all back east. Anybody have any ideas?

Pick up a copy of Cycle News - some classifieds in back. A few bikes get listed on the District 36 (northern california) web page www.ama-d36.org

I had a guy from Fresno buy an bike from us. He had someone send him a southern california cycle trader and he made the calls from Frenso and then started driving.
