I live in Northern Virgina and have to drive to far to ride on a track. I have decided to buy some property and build a race track. Who should I speak with about designing the track and developing a sight plan? I want to build this track at the I-81/I66 interchange so it will be convienient to the area and located on major roads. I believe I wil also layout a campground for stay overs. If you live in this area and would supprt the track please let me know.
Also, once established, how do you get the majors to come race at your track?

thanks,

Claybo

Before you do anything you'll need to check out the zoning restrictions and property easements, this property may be owned by the highway dept.. Make sure that all permits are available. It might be a good idea to hire an attorney.

Read up on this link to see what people go through to open a MX park.

too bad you don't live in eastern nc. I have a friend who knows guys in texas who do nothing but travel and build tracks. they are the guys who build the arena cross and supercross tracks. email me and i'll send you their info. they'ss be able to tell you all the nitty gritty you need to know.

You might try talking to the owners of the tracks in your area. One of the guys who used to own a track here in SC also went around and built tracks for other people.

I know the owner of TNT (Jimmy Parrish, 803-482-4759) travels and builds trails and tracks, but I don't know if he'd go that far north.
