I recently aquired a 2001 CR-125 and the shock does not seem to be working correctly.
It is very stiff and it doesnt seem to rebound very good.
I was told it would have to be rebuilt and would need new seals & bushings etc. The local Honda dealer said the parts to rebuild it are approx $15-20.
I dont want to mees with it and I thought I would ask who would do this for a reasonable price (around $70 or so)?
Thanks

Well, I will check those for sure.
I would guess its something in the shock though because I can get movement out of the linkage etc.
Wouldn't it hardly move at all if the lnikage was frozen?
Like I can lift the bike up and the supsension comes up etc.
Well, I reckon either way it's not a huge deal correct?
Thanks

You are right its not a big deal, just alot of time. I'm still goin with a frozen bearing somewhere because the spring should lift the bike up by itself. Have you tried turning the rebound to full out (counter clockwise) to see if it rebounds any faster?

Consult the manual and set it back to default settings. Suspension recommendations are pointless without first setting up proper sag. Also after you have set proper sag you need to consider the person you purchased the bike from. How much did they weigh. Your weight, riding environment, skill etc.
