Oh yea Mark, I forgot to tell you the origin of that REALLY cool Penton shirt I was wearing!! That shirt happens to be a production of the "Master of the Trail" himself (those of you who dont know who that is, pm me and I will tell you how to get a "Politically Penton Correct" tee shirt)!! I only wear it on SPECIAL occasions when I am going to be around folks who REALLY appreciate the "Old School Stuff" like I do! :thumb:
Thanks for bringing that shirt up!!

Hey Woodsy, the pleasure was mine. I usually end up going to lunch with people at work and talk about work. It's a REALY JOY to talk about dirt bikes instead.

By the way, I never mentioned that I used to ride bicycles a lot in the 80's and 90's before I got back into dirt bikes. I used to average about 3,000 miles a year. Anyway, I got back into bicycle riding this summer again. In looking at some bicycles on the web, I found the perfect solution to your current situation. We just need to find a way to shoehorn your KX500 motor into this!

WOW, thats a LOT of miles on a bicycle!! :yikes: I suppose it really isnt to a serious "Road Scab" (I just made that up - do ya get it?).
If not heres a word picture for you: Go back with me to when I was a kid and Gordy Vandyke was riding my home made "bicycle chopper" (it was concocted of a set of hollow Huffy forks that I cut off my sisters bike, then I forced these fork extensions over the ends of the forks on my "banana seated, bent barred roadster". Coolest thing you ever seen - EVERYBODY wanted to ride it (having the Ace of Diamonds clothspinned to the frame to make a motor sound added more flavor  ).
Anyway, Gordy got the Woodsy roadster tooling down "Devils Dip" to the tune of about 30 mph when he decided to try to get a wheelie over a little rock. The front end lifted up and the fork extentions fell off (this happened WAY before shop class was invented so my knowledge of drilling and placing a set screw hadnt happened yet). Gordy did a magnificient endo right in front of me, sort of placing his face into the pavement with a SPLAT cause it happened so fast his hands didnt have time to get in front of his noggin.
At the time, I didnt think much about it because a face covered with scabs was a normal thing of beauty in our area. However, being older and WISER and seeing that contraption you found certainly sends shivers down my spine! I really dont wanna be a Road Scab!
Come to think of it, I may still be interested... As I recall, later in life Gordy was chasing me thru the woods - him riding my old Suzuki Savage and me on my 73 Honda Elsinore. He disappeared and I went back to find him. He was setting at trailside with his middle finger laying on the back of his hand. I asked him what happened and all he could say was "I was trying to follow your !#@ and I should have stayed home"
Yea, I bet it was just Gordy..... Where do I get one of those "Road Scabbers" Mark :aj:
ALL the above REALLY happened!!

Woodsy - Here are some things to munch on for now.
When you bring up rear end alignment, you are getting into the realm of Father Nelson on one hand. On the other, a little throttle to Inca and the rear end follows the front. However, on Kadie that puts you on the rear end. This happens to be public knowledge - what Kadie will do.
From hands, lets try eyes now. Thank you for another reason as to why you get lost so easy. If you keep one eye on me and one on Mark, you can't see where you're going. This of course will become another reason when you can't see for the tears of laughter. This keyboard isn't always dry either.
As for Judge MWeissen gone straight, it implies that he was once crooked. Come to think of it though, you accepted lunch from him, so that puts you in the same boat with us. This will make it easier for you to keep eyes on us. How do you plan to watch Terry?
Some investigating awaits me, so I'll take a break with this Sign Of The Times

Hahahaha! I KNEW you'd pick up on that pretty quickly Ted! When I saw Woodsy added that to his reply, I just knew he was gong to be "dead meat"! He he!!! Score: INCA -2, Kadie - 1.

Actually, I was so impressed with Woodsy's charisma in following his doctor's orders on walking, yet pushing the edge to get better, I have to give Kadie another point for picking such a fine man to take care of her! So, score: INCA - 10, Kadie - 10 (only the judge knows how the score can jump so far so quickly. If I gave away my recipe, Terry would then know my tricks and I'd be out of the Appeals Court business).

Woodsy, I can just see old Gordy's face when those fork extensions and wheels fell away. Actually, I can almost spell his pants at that moment as well!

Hey boyz I am back from U.P.

I just rolled in at around 8:00pm tonight. The stRANGER is showing almost 1000 miles on the trip odometer since I left Wednsday afternoon. I am wooped.

I had such a great time working day 5 of the SDOM on Drummond Island. Words can hardly do it justice. I will give ya's a full write up of our adventures and a few photo's once I get some sleep.

Untill then.

Kiwibird: Anyone who regularly reads this stuff is bound to end up with brown up to the eyeballs!! You ought to try riding with these yahoooo's - it gives a whole new meaning to slipping in kahkah
Young Ted: The comment you made about how I am going to be aable to keep an eye on all you yahoooos brings up a valid point - I think that last picture you posted of the IWAACer mascot answers the question real well - from a birds eye view my friend, from a birds eye view :thumb:
Mark - now I understand why you were so quick to pick up the tab - the thought NEVER crossed my mind but I guess that really doesnt matter now :( Woodsy has fallen into the trap of bribery! Boy, it sure didnt take Nelson long to find that "trump card" did it :aj: The man has got WIT, ABSOULUTE WIT!!
YZMAN: WELCOME HOME!! I thought you may have gotten caught up in the U.P. craze like all these guys who did the Moose - its a wonder there is anybody left down here to ride with!! OH MAN, I CANT WAIT FOR THOSE PICS - hurry up and sleep will ya!
I am ALL steamed up about this :ride: !!

KiwiBird - Woodsy is trying to lead you astray and get you lost with this brown up to the eyeballs thing. Diarrhea of the eyeballs means you have a certain type of outlook on life that is far from promising. That is far from the case around here and in no way does it apply to Woodsy. There is much fact and a lot of truth in what is posted on the MTR site. Sure enough there is some rib poking and cage rattling, but that is what keeps things interesting and no doubt amusing. As Woodsy reads this I can see his mind working to the tune of - I'm being set up again. Thanks for your views from where the sun sets latter.

Woodsy dont even have to read the post to know he is being set up!! All I have to do is see who posted it and I automatically know whether or not to hide!
I recieved a "package" in the mail from Young Ted today and discovered that he and Mr. Judge Nestrick are going forward with this "IWAAC" business plan :)
Hey Terry/Ted, that is just tooooo much  I took one of those cards over to my Dad and he absoulutly died laughing!! I told him that he is the one that got me started on my trail to "perfect lostism" and that he was partly respondsible for this whole mess!! Of course, he didnt hear a word I said because of his mirth!!!
I went into the kitchen to say hi to my Mom and then went back into the living room and he already had the dog gone thing signed!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, you two yahoo's sure know how to stir the pot and keep the days steaming by
With Judge and jury like you guys I will NEVER plead innocent again!!!

Some insights on: “The IWAAC’er Creedo”

Pot stirrers ‘R us …
IWAAC’ers we 'B
In trouble are ‘U
What’s next, we’ll ‘C ???

This is just the beginning … there’s more in the ‘wings’ than just an owl in the woods … our membership is growing ‘cause we got the goods … but don’t despair, just keep up the fight … soon you’ll see at the end of the tunnel a very dim light … and that light will grow into a mighty beam … and from its shadows your friends will stream … but for now you must endure our IWAAC’er screamin’ … ‘cause we know it keeps you dreamin’ and steamin’ !!!

Thoughts of an anonymous IWAAC’er ;)

There is no way that Big Hoot WoodsyThe Wise Owl will be able to hide. IWAAC'ers will keep him in mind as the name says it all. There is a definite goal at hand and it seems to be doing fine.
The card he mentions is one for membership in IWAAC. Terry is the founder and has some to pass out. Woodsy also has a few. With a second printing, I now have more than a few that will be available at Harrison over the weekend. Look for the Woodsy's Delight banner. Some are going out in the mail today, so there will soon be IWAAC'ers all over. This isn't all my fault as Terry threw the ball and I just ran with it.
A personal to Woodsy - By saying you would not plead innocent, does that mean you give up?
Oh for the life of a dirt rider,
Young Ted

Oh and as I did trail maintance today on Lincoln Hills I saw evidence that some prankster has been at it again. As I crossed Lincoln Bridge and dropped into the single track (the one that heads to Boone).....Lets just say that there was a welcome suprise waiting just off the trail in a tree.

Pranksters, idle chatter and up to no good? Not in my book. This is all for a great good, there is nothing idle about action and pranksters, not around here. Isn't there something about idle hands and the devil?

"Pranksters, idle chatter and up to no good? Not in my book. This is all for a great good!"

and once again the Mighty Young Ted has hit the nail on the head!! READ ON!!

I went to the doctor today for my 1st post surgery x-ray and followup visit and came home FLYING ON CLOUD NINE!!
The Doc took one look at my x-rays and said "I have NEVER seen anything like this - Your BMP is showing an almost complete fusion - YEEEEHAAAWWW!!
Actually YEEEEHAAAWWW doesnt even come close to expressing a MIRACLE like this!! The Doc then told me that if it keeps up at this pace I will be OUT of this back brace and in Physical Therapy within 2 months!! Tell you what guys, the ONLY PT that ol' Woodsy needs is a week with KADIE chasing you critters around the great Michigan north woods :thumb:
The Doctor also CONGRATULATED me on how well the instrumentation is doing (the titanium), NO BENDS, NO CRACKS, NO INFECTIONS!!!
He also looked at my other ruptured disc and said that I may indeed be looking at another surgery but that decision will have to wait until AFTER this one is done - therefore, I may possibly have a small window of :ride: time this FALL before returning to the "slab"!! :aj:

Now, ya want some wise ol' owl type advice folks? If you EVER have to travel the road that I have been on (and I PERSONALLY hope and pray that you dont!) get your broken down back side on this web site and SEEK support from the finest people there are ANYWHERE on the planet!! The smiles for miles that you will find will keep your head out of the "woe is me muck"! There just is not enough time in the day to keep up with these "rascally yahoos" (howd ya like that one Ted :) ) and still find time to be down!!

SMIT-DOG: THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY DIRT SLINGIN HEART!! You are indeed a friend in DEED :thumb:
Now the problem is to put the book down and stop laughing long enough to be involved here! The last pic below shows what was inside of the cover!

THANK'S TO ALL
Woodsy
Oh yea, gotta have a couple pics for all you visually stimulated readers too... Gotta love that Ti!

It sure is good to hear that burnt squirrel rum cake has such a positive effect on the healing speed of the body when it can get lost so easy. Another good part is that to have two months lead time on removal of the brace, is a very nice opportunity. Your suspicious mind is wrong this time Woodsy. I'm referring to the TT's that keep Kadie company. Looking forward to that day.
