Yamaha TW 200 (Just got it) What kinda hopups?

She just got this 2004 Yamaha "fat-tire fun ride" and now she is now asking what SHE CAN DO to make this thing better for OFFROAD riding?

OK kidding aside, there is not much you can do with a TW, my brother had one for a couple of years, and it is great on the fun factor but not great as an off road weapon. Also the XT200 engine is pretty wimpy, which leaves the bike heavy and underpowered.

Should still be a lot of fun though - is this one street legal, makes for a great commuter ! :thumb:

New bike time? TTR250, XR250, or KDX220.

4 easy steps:
First replace frame.
Then replace suspension.
Then replace engine.
Then new plastic and grapics.
:)

i have an xt225 (similar bike) and have only added barkbusters but plan to change to a more aggressive tire as the current rubber wears. the bike is too cumbersome for tight trails and is geared too high (xt225) but on fire roads and easy rides it is fun in stock form. plus i can ride out to the trails and to lunch or work...

however, as others indicated for added offroad grin factor - i added a crf450r to my garage this year.
