I was on the line at the races, when the white flag went up I went to start my bike and when the kickstarter hit the footpeg my boot slipped off. 30sec. before the race was going to start! :scream: Luckly my ankle didn't bother me during the race. My riding style doesn't involve much side to side rotation of my foot. Anyway I think its time I invest in some boots with actual ankle support. my problem is I have narrow feet and chicken legs. I am presently riding fox trackers (cheapest boots I could find) in a size 9, I am maxed out with the adjusters as tight as they go and I wear regular socks with high bulk sucks over them. I wear a size 11 shoe, but I've been able to get away with the 9's for awhile becaue they run big and I have narrow feet, although the toe jamming is starting to get out of hand. I would greatly appriciate any of your suggestions for boots. :thumb:
Funny how well the search works :)

Thanks Okie, I read all the reviews and searched the subject before posting, but I got mixed results. Most of the post were concerning people with big calfs and wide feet, I found a couple but they just reccomended tightening the boots or suggested a boot that was previously given a good review for having a nice wide foot. I just wanted to inquire if anybody knew of any particular boots that worked well for their narrow feet. I'm looking forward to the review on the tech 8's and 6's
i have narrow feet, i have styl martin boots, they give a lot of support and my feet fit good. im wearing a size 13 boot to avoid tooe jamming, but could get away ith a 12. i dont know their website, but if you search youll find it. Styl Martin is more known for street boots, but they have a good quality moto boot
If you read the posts I think you could come to the conclusion that no one has the same shape feet... it's like asking what color is best :) There is NO correct answer to your question. Sorry. You'll likely end up0 like everyone else... try a pair, if it doesn't work out, try another. No one can answer your question. I've seen some say the Sidi are better for wide feet, some say they are better for narrow feet. Go figure.
I also have a fairly narrow foot and used to have a pair of floppy old Garne's that I really liked. Or at least until I turned a few toes around backwards after hitting a partially covered rock. Ever try to get your boots off when your toes are pointing the wrong direction. :scream:
Since that time, I got myself a pair of Alpinestar tech 8's. Did'nt like them at first because they are very stiff and it felt like I had both feet in concrete. Could'nt shift or use the brake properly for the first couple weeks.
Now that I am used to them I don't think I could ever wear another brand of boot. They have a little jell bootie inside that conforms to your foot after a while and give a little more support and padding. I have found their stiffness to be an advantage on the MX track and have smacked a few rocks with them while trail riding with no adverse affects.
I guarentee you won't like them at first, but give them a little time.
