'02 CR250 Flywheel Weight

I'm riding an '02 Honda CR250 in the tight woods and cross country terrain in South Jersey. The motor is stock so far and I want to add some flywheel weight. Can anyone list the proper weight.

My '99 CR250 has a 12oz FWW on it. Different bike, same type of riding.

I put a 14 oz weight on my 2001 CR250R. It is a little light for real tight snarely woods, about right for most woods and a little too heavy for fast open whooped out strait sections.

What does putting weights on the flywheel do?

They increase the spinning mass of the engine, making it less vulnerable to stalls, smoothing out the power delivery and easier to control.

i have a 14 oz on my 01 cr 250 and it works great anywhere even motocross.
