Hello all, I am a new member with a question. I am looking to get back into riding after a ten year break. Want a bike that will suit me well for trail riding and have enough power that I dont get bored with it. I have decided on the KDX220! To be bought soon. Since I am a terrible haggler, I was wondering if you guys could give me some of your advice. IN SILICON VALLEY, what is a good "Out the Door" price for a '02 KDX220? If I know that, at least I know im not getting ripped! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to hit Hollister before the new year.

Depending on supply and demand..

OTD prices in the $3500 to $4000 range seem common.

Look for a left over 2001 KDX200. They're faster than the 220, you'll pay less, and they're cheaper to modify. Expect to pay around $3700-$3800 OTD for a leftover 2001 KDX200.:D

Cheaper to modify? Same mods for the 220 or 200. more hopup potential in the 220 because of the different porting on the cyclinder, better low end. If you are riding in an age based class the 220 is a better choice. with a little careful shopping the price difference between the 2 bikes is minimal. Both are good choices, the 220 is a better starting point for a lot of riders. it all depends on how you ride where you ride and what you want
