300 KLX info

I just noticed the Kawasaki 300 KLX for the first time the other day and thought it might make a nice ride. I know some have problems with the idler gear but other than that I am wondering if they are a decent bike? Anyone know the rw hp? Will a wr 250f put it to shame?

I own a 2001 klx 300 and it's great It has @ 750 miles on it with 0 problems. I talked to the dealer on Idler gear problem they said
that the main cause of failure is do to not following starting procedure
and getting kick back and if you do any mods to engine. This bike starts first or second kick. Don't know hp at rw but I will tell you this it was a
dead heat with a wr 250 on a dry lake the guy on the wr was impressed!!!. I the thing I like the most is when I'm rideing with people
that I don't know they say what is that it's fast.
