Depends on the oil you use. Generally 32:1 is the starting point.

Search for this topic, it's a fairly regularly beaten dead horse around here.

I use a synthetic or synthetic blend like Golden Spectro at 40:1. I have not had any problems and have had better than average life of rings and components. I would point out that the manufacturer calls for 32:1. The only problem that I see regarding too much oil is fouling of the kips and spark plug. This will also tend to lean your mixture out a little as well. My $.02

I use Amsoil 2000 and run it 80:1. It all depends on the oil you use. I have been very happy with amsoil. Runs clean (jetted spot on) and no gummed up power valve parts.

Hope this helps,

Yes, my bad. 50:1. I was thinking of our trials bikes which we run 80:1. The Amsoil 2000 is 50:1.
