Hi,

When people say to use scotch-brite pads to clean their cylinder, do they use the Red / Blue or Green pad?

Does it really matters which one you use?

I use the red ones on my cylinder and it worked great. If I remember right the grit of those is 600. The greens I think the greenare the course ones.

dont know the grit but green is coarse red is medium and blue is fine. ive used the green ones on car engine blocks but theyre not lined. on the cycle cylinder i would start with blue then try the red.
