I'm in need of a hot start system for my 00 XR650r and would like to know who makes the best one for my bike?
I put one on a 96 XR250 and it helped it, so I'm thinking it will help this bike also.
I'm only having trouble starting it after a fall, when I just shut it off or when it's cold it's fine. I try the Scott Summers starting procedure but it still takes a bunch of kicks and that realy wares me out.

The TerryCable hotstart kit for the 98 YZ400F could be easily adapted to the XR by adding the intake pipe ( Yamaha part # 5BE-13582-00-00 $1.53) to the XR's intake manifold. The Terry kit fits on the handlebars and is a great aid in starting and works great for adding small amounts of air to the system to check jetting. :)

the hotstart for the Terry cable kit for the Kawasaki KLX300 could be adapted as well. With the manual compression release on the XR650, I have never needed a hotstart system, but I guess it couldn't hurt.
