KTM 2001 RFS Shortage?

Was talking with a friend from the left coast recently and he mentioned the '01 KTM rfs bikes were tough to get out there. That's odd, because my dealer is Lansing Cycle (Lansing, MI) and they have one each of the 2001 KTM 400 EXC and 520 EXCs, brand new and ready to go. Geez...if I only had room in the garage!

Up here in Ontario, Canada, 400 EXCs are GONE, but there are a few 520s still available if you hunted around.

Just got an e-mail from Holeshot... they have a new shipment of KTM's, including 520 EXC and 400 EXC's.

I have a friend who is a ktm dealer in Virginia. When my YZ recentlly blew up I called him looking for a 520. He said not till fall, no way, no how. A week later he called and said KTM released more bikes. I rode my new 520EXC for the first time this weekend:). Some areas of the country just sell out quicker than others.

In short supply down under

There are virtually no 4 st ktms available in oz until the 2002 models are made. For the past 3 or 4 months the only bikes available have been shipped in by air!

New Model Year?

Does anyone know when the new model year RFSs will come out here in the states?

My dealer said new bikes will be out in September.
