Wardy's-The Movie!

OK, it's done. I am going to upload the lower-quality version to my site and I will post a link here when it's done. It's 2.8 meg and 4 minutes long. I will have a higher-quality version on the CD that I burn and send out to Eddie. I'll do my best to get that done and in the mail tomorrow. Okie, I'll send you one too so you can post the hi-q version here if you want. Same addy as for buying stuff?

Stay tuned, should be about 20-30 minutes to upload. I'll post back when it's ready.

Thanks Big Guy!......Please Read!

BigLou,
Thanks for the video!......You all rock! LOL......How would ya all like a 7 1/2 miles of what you just did and all the trails you could hope for? The 7+ miles is what we down here at LBL call the loop. It's a high speed run around the area with alot of streams, berms, and flat out gassin areas just lookin' for new riders. Lets not forget the jumps with a whole bunch of obsticales like stream beds, mud holes etc. to figure out! There are tons of trails, hills, and technical stuff that I think you all would die for! Lemme know......Would like to set up a pre-DW02 ride in KY for Labor Day Weekend.....Down here in KY at LBL/Turkey Bay. If you want to see some picks ClickHere and click on LBL.....Troy and I met on this ride and was kind enough to put some pic's of me on there tending his wounds after a bail out. Kinda funny when you see them....
For all interested get back to me!
Happy Trails!
Phillip :p :p :p

KelvinKDX,
When I was there over Memorial Day it was packed! I am guessing it will be the same way.......Get there early! If you already have year passes($45.00) they won't hassle you over the camping fee($8.00 a night). A three day pass is 15 bucks but worth it!!!! The only facillities(Showers) are at the main complex about 2 miles up the road, but porta pottys and water are on hand. If you make it down you will love it......Just watch out for all the quads and rail buggies.
Happy Trails,
Irish

Lou, I took some awesome pics of Zoomer & OT coming down off the second table top, where are they dude? You can stop playing the old/slow guy game anytime now Lois - Hehehe, had to add that after you gave everyone a No-Toil demonstration :)

Nikki - Can I get you to e-mail me all the pics you took - i want to add them to Lou's pics before I burn CD's for everyone.

Crash - As usual, you are the bomb dude, funnier than heck, super nice guy and I think you might have left me a sticker somewhere :) PS I POWERWASHED your cooler, fixed the release and it looks like new. Bring it up the 4th. Thanks for letting me borrow your bike - loved it.

Aw geez guys it was a totally awesome weekend, good to see old friends again. Way too much hilarity after the riding stopped, I got my 3rd try at an MX track (DW01 & DW02) and Jay, Jeff & Speedy went out in the woods with me for awhile. Too funny that SOME of the MX guys got lost coming back from the flat track. You had to go about 300 yds. through woods to get there and it seemed REALLY simple to Jay and I :p

Gotta agree with Lou - Zommer, you and family are awesome. 98.6% of families should be VERY jealous, as you and yours are the best.

OldGuy - Well - You know, We love you guys and you have done some fine work bringing up Eric. You should be proud of your riding (AT YOUR AGE :) ) but more proud of your fathering.

Wendy & Jim - Good to see you all again, hope ya got that front brake straightened out.

Jaybird - Thanks for the chain lube, smokes and general laughter around the fire. Next time wait a couple riders after OT & Zoomer and my timing will hopefully be better with the camera! Sorry.

Jay - too much fun and way too humbling watching/riding with you around that flat track. I'll have to say the back tire in the brush 'full locked and puckered' was way too awesome. Yes folks he pulled it back in and was back on the gas in about .417 seconds.

AJ - What the heck... sorry we missed you buddy - if we had known we would have at least stayed around to get pics of you on a quad :)

Okie & Pokie - Pokie really needs to get a different username - Nuff said there! Okie, Why do you only pull a mud stunt like that once in 3 years and when no camera's are around? You got Thumps number at DW02 man!

Wardy - Can't say enough. Thanks a ton. We can't wait to do it again.

Eddie-I will add the two pics of OT and Zoomer coming down the table. I was just running out of time with the cutting and cropping, etc. I also missed that one good shot I got of Red. I'm gonna post all three of them right now and then get to burning that CD for you. It will go out UPS tomorrow. PM me your address before noon tomorrow, if you would.

Dave-Right click the hot link and then click "Save As". That should work.

Irish-We are planning on getting a few of us to head over to Turkey Bay to ride with CAL and his crew and family one of these days. I will be sure to let you know when we are headed that way.

As for the video, I got great still photos of everyone, but didn't get great video of everyone. I wish I would have gotten some video footage of the little Zoomers. They were flyin'!

Ha! I was one of them :silly:

That was a good time Mister, guess we better make that a yearly event? How about EARLIER in the year though? 6 days of riding in the last week and a half in 95 degree temps has me pretty whipped, think I'll actually take a week/weekend off over the 4th.

As usual, the post ride hours were great. I'm thankful for being able to hang with a group like this, even you 'Crash ;) You really won't meet a nicer bunch of people. < repeatng myself > Come on DirtWeek!

I wanted to add a little tidbit here....

Did any of y'all notice there was a guy on an older XR250 and a guy riding a mountain bike? Well, as it turned out, those two guys were at Wardy's for the very first time. The fella on the mountain bike was the father of the guy on the XR, and they stopped to talk to me for a bit while I was loading for home.
They apparently had been quad men for years riding at Buffalo, and sold the quads when that place stopped allowing them. The son got a dirtbike and they really never knew where to ride. (They were from Naperville)
Anywho....they found info on Wardy's place and decided to give it a try.
Once the man saw that I was receptive to answering any questions he had, he was full of questions....about other areas, about the popularity of dirtbiking, etc....
I finally got around to telling him just why we were there. Both the father and son were very stoked when they heard about our little fraternity and immediately got some paper and wrote down a couple of suggested riding areas and the DirtRider.net link.
If I were to wager, I'd say these two have already checked us out...and I bet they have already joined. I'm terrible with names, and I can't remember what theirs were, but I do know that they were our kind of people!
I wish we would have know about their situation earlier on and we could have invited them into our little circle while we were there.
I had a wonderful time this weekend and it just seemed to cap it all off by knowing that there were gonna be two more good friends joining us.

You guys are the best! (BudLight moment...lol) :aj:

Dave-Go here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TeamNTAC/ And then click on the "Files" link on the left side of the page. Once there, you will see a few movies. I forgot what I named it, but it is pretty clear which one it is. Once you get there, I would still do the right click and save target as maneuver. You may have to create a Yahoo! profile for yourself, but that isn't too difficult. Just pick a name (hopefully "oldguy" is available still) and then enter a password. I use my DRN PW there, and everywhere else, for that matter. BTW-I am "supreme_ass_clown"!
There's something to be proud of, LOL!

I puckered a little  I was full lock 3 gear tapped. It would not have been a pretty hi-side!

That weekend was an absolute blast! I am still sore! The body got a workout.

As usual DRNers are the best. Jaybird and SFC Crash it was good to meet you guys for the first time.

Good fun, BS, food, and brew.

Thanks to Wardy for being a great host.

Thanks to you-know-who for letting me ride that you-know-what OVER and OVER :aj: man talk about eating my words............

Then, Mr. Offroadr, on Okies 250F, proceeds to repeatedly bump me in the corners, driving me over the berms, scaring me with his tail-whipping turns, etc.! I finally had to let him around, seeing how he pushed me so far outside over a berm that my back wheel was over the berm while the front was still on the track! That and I was laughing so hard I could hardly see straight! Why is bumping people around on the track so much fun?! I think I see a 250F in his future, too. He couldn't say enough good things about that bike. I tell you what, these woods guys, sheesh! Thinking they can ride MX.

just wait a minute!! I gave you at least 3ft! I think it was prolly one of Zoomers kids that bumped you as they went by.

j/k Lou, thanks for the spin on the 426 as well!
