New MX vs ATV game

I must really suck at this game because sometimes i can run a good 3 laps race with 1 or 2 crashes and then sometimes i crash 5 times every lap in a race lol... But my best laps are around one minute and 3 seconds. And, i think the freestyle is hard, alot of times i completely miss the ramp or over jump it. :bang:

My best time yet is a 58.30 on a 250f. On the bigger bikes, I'm still trying to break a minute, but it's tough. The more I play this though, the more I get the hang of it. In 2 weeks when the game is out, i'll have mastered the demo and be ready to take on the other tracks :)

The heck with that. Whats this about a new wipeout game? I am real curious now, how will this sand track hold up after a 15 lap race? I am relearning how to maneuver the 450. Vintage Bob

15 laps? I don't think I can even survive after 5, it can get pretty rough. lol Curious how the other tracks will feel like though.

I am pretty horrible on the 450. I'll stick to the 250 although the ATV is pretty easy to handle on the nationals course.

I found out the wipeout game has been out a while. Too much time on here? I do not believe I have ever used the quad though, yuck! But I will clear all the landings on that uphill jump with the 450, and land in the corner, someday. Some 102's on the 250, and 106 on the 450? Vintage Bob

I really don't know if i like it yet. Its really different. But the more i play the demo the more i start to like it and get a feel for the control and how the bike handles threw corners and ruts. Ill be buying it.

The good: Great graphics and good sounds. The track looks real and after three laps, there are some deeeep ruts to try and fall into. And its a real challenge, not a game you can expect to blow threw, It is hard.

The bad: Well, the controls are very different and VERY hard to get used to. So no more letting first timers play with you, because they will hate it and wont want to play anymore. Also you cant look around. I cant see how close someone is behind me or a trick from a different angle or anything. I don't like how there ISN'T a clutch, I'm used to pushing that button a lot from the previous versions and it kind of screws up the starts. Also freestyle is SOO FREAKING HARD!!! I can barley hit the jumps let alone do a trick and land it. But I'm sure ill get it with time.

My best time on the 450f was 54.xx And the 250f was just under a minute. But i use the 450f a lot more.

Does anybody else plan on getting it for the xbox 360? And does anybody else have xbox live? We could have a dirtrider.net race :cool: or something like that.

Agreed it frustrates me because i can maybe land one jump in that 2 minute or whatever event :bang:

PS3 pssh, Xbox is where its at! I have to remember that maybe ill be faster now that i know there is a clutch, but my finger is almost ALWAYS on the throttle so thats going to be difficult.

saw a pretty good review of Reflex online today. they gave it a 9.1 out of 10. Here it is if anyone wants to see it

he mentions some stuff about the game I haven't seen talked about anywhere else. multiplayer looks like it'll be waaaaaay better. what sold me is that we're getting 41 tracks total with the game! that doesn't included bonus tracks i'm sure they'll put out in the future. looking real good.

I'm digging it actually, approve of the more difficult, but more "real" feel overall. Below 60: most of the time now. Pretty sweet how the ruts change, lines change, gyro effect works (if not exaggerated), leaving a jump face off the gas causes a nose dive, etc. Takes some getting used to, but way better than any previous versions once you get the hang of it.

BTW, there is a clutch, but useless anytime except the start. (right shoulder button).

The faster you go, the less the deep ruts slow you down, go figure? But the stories of busting 54? If anyone ever had a game about dirtbikes, this is "it". My son tells me the big gripe is, no horns in the crowd. I kid you not, unbelievable! Now if the ps3 and xbox interacted on the net? Vintage Bob

If PS3 and XBOX users could race together, man, the network would be huge! I hope at least the respective networks have a good amount of people. With the way they've improved online stuff, having races is gonna be a lot of fun.
