I'm stickin with the 2 stroke as long as I can. I don't race so I really don't have a need for the competitve edge of a four stroke. Or the added cost for that matter. :silly:

Easier to put the power on the ground is what I keep hearing, but I/ve never even had a chance to ride a modern thumper so I'm sure that could be disputed. :thumb:

I can't see dirtbikes being that much fun without that hard powerband hit anyway :aj:

I wouldnt say a 4 stroke bike has an edge over 2 stroke, cause I cant help but think a 2 stroke bike is always going to be lighter and have better weight distribution than 4 stroke no matter how good the thumpers get.

I guess you could say 4-strokes give some riders an edge if it makes it easier for them to get the power 2 tha ground.

i really want a CRF450, but the resale value on 2 strokes has fallen through the floor and i never even got 1 call when my bikes were for sale. I am now thinking about a 05 CRF, but the wife needs a new car before that happens, so its more likely gonna be 06...........
