Nothing could be as bad as that sandy-ravine at the Acadiana race.

What sandy ravine, that is our long straight away with a chicane in the middle. It is the perfect oppurtunity to make some time up in the middle of a test section. My last run before the fracture displayed a top speed of 93 on my 450, I cant imagine that no one enjoyed that oppurtunity to cool off. :laugh:

Maybe you should invest in one of those auto-clutches?

Been there done that and took it back. I found I lost too much control over what the bike is doing for my taste. I could only disengage the clutch manually to a certain point and then the autoclutch would take over. Maybe I am just weird. :bang:

sand at Wiggins...and do we consider that creek bottom at Acadiana sand? Let me lsugh.

Go to the SETRA Swamp Fox in Charleston, SC or Tallahassee Trail Riders race....

the Swamp Fox is WFO!!!! 30MPH and 3 foot deep sand woops for 80 ground miles.....

Will the 2nd loop be run on the same trail as the 1st?

Hey Jon, row up with me, we can have the medically unfit row, or maybe the never was, or the wanna be, or could of been. I am sure we can come up with something. How about we bring some horns for the helmets. I may be able to talk someone out of his Bob's T shirt.

Darin;

I will be offering what assistance I can to the Masterlinks Club.

They got me running the kid's race on Saturday, and a couple of tie-breakers on Sunday.

If the plans don't change.

I'll bet the Bob's shirt won't quite fit me. :eek:

Hey Darin was that 93mph just moments before the fracture or what?
I can relate to how it would still be part of a test for some, I can remember paddling through on a 125 while someone came by me doing probably 75. I almost fell out because I could hardly reach 5mph.

Good luck with your wrist this weekend.and to everyone else that plans to have a blast!
I cant wait. I hope it doesnt get rained out.
Its my first time for Wiggins, I'm curious for whats in store.

No, but it was on the same weekend. Just happen to be 4 or so hours later on the same day. That particular piece of trail has cost me at least one pipe and two brake levers. The concrete in the corner just doesnt move.

I hope the rain holds out. Jon, you suppose the pecan orchard can handle the rigs that will be there if it rains as much as we have gotten in Lafayette? I would think this much rain would make this race an experiance, and not neccesarily a good one.

I hope they are not getting what we are getting. Man it has been coming down since 11 am and it is 5pm now, and it is still raining!

Darin; I'm afraid of just that. I would bet that Terry will park us in the road before he lets the orchard get torn up.

Seems like I remember them doing that once before . . . . .

I am about 90 miles west of Wiggins, it has been pouring buckets since about 2:00 this afternoon.

Sorry guys, the race has been postponed because of the rain. Hopefully we can reschedule for July 11. Not for sure yet. Will post the date as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Paul

As of 7/7; just a few afternoon showers, no monsoons like a few weeks ago.

Should be good to go!

Jonny,

How's the turf? I never remeber it getting too wet down there, but Wiggins has had some serious rain and am just wondering if it is not going to be a rut fest.

Its a long haul from ATL to play in the mud.

Garrett;

The rest of the week will tell the tale. Right now conditions should be just about optimum.

The sandy stuff should be beech'in! :aj:
