If you're talking about boring out the 80 to make it comparable to the 250, don't bother. If you trade (and you should,) you'll have a running bike, but you will have to sacrifice ALOT of power. If I were you, I'd trade the 80 straight up for an older 125 or 250. I just scored a 1987 CR125 for $200, New piston kit, cylinder, cylinder head, stator, clutch, FMF Fatty and Powercore silencer. Guy lost interest in the project and it sat till he needed garage space. Good deals are out there, keep your eyes peeled and you'll find one. Visit Craigslist!

Personally I use ATF Type F in my 2 strokes. As for amount, there should be a fill amount in cc's somewhere close to the filler cap.

it says 600cm3. how many quarts of gear oil do i put in it??? what kinds do you recomend????

That means 600cc's. Use a 10/30 or 10/40 motorcycle oil in the tranny. Some guys use ATF, I don't but WTF. It seems that they do it without killing their bikes.

TheJake, you should go to your local powersports store and pick yourself up a ratio rite cup. Theyre about two bucks and it has all of the wierd metric mesurements on the side, so it makes it really easy to use. Theyre the only way to go
