I took off the engine of my RM 250 the other day and now I need the case split my clymer manual refers to a crankcase seperator tool. And also I would need a rotor remover. Do I need these tools or do they just make it easier. also if I do need the tools where is a good place to get them without paying full price?
The rotor tool for shure but I know what I would do to split the case, make sure all the bolts are out and lightly tap around the case with a rubber hammer.
To split the cases, I modified a steering wheel type puller by bolting a couple of pieces of flat plate to it with holes drilled in the ends to match up with some tapped holes in the case. Simple yet effective. Clear as mud?
