Time is getting short. Is anyone officially heading this up this year? Collecting money? Are we even going to do this? It's tradition, y'all! ;) I'm in along with Robert and his son if we are going to do this. Or are we going to be left to the concesions in the stadium? :fft:

I'm good with anything, burgers, brats, chicken, pork. You know, the four basic food groups!

What time does everybody usually get there? We are staying Friday night in Norman OK, and Joni says it is about 3 1/2 hours to Irving from there. We would like to roll in as early as possible. :aj:

If your taking I-35 plan on it taking a lot longer than usual. I hear that there is some serious traffic problems between the state line and the outlet malls. I'm hoping to find an alternate route.

We will be sitting in Section 12 Row 36. Cheapo seats. I'll be looking for you guys at the race.

Lou, I found a co-pilot for the trip who is experienced in taking me to the ER so your off the hook. Unless we happen to take each other out. I think I'm more excited about riding Nocona than going to the Supercross.

Jerry-I think 11-12 is the usual show up time for me. I like to get there and hang out all day.

D-sounds good to me. Yeah, I'm about 50/50 on the SX and Nocona now. Last week's race was incredible to listen to. Throw in a possible Pastrana return in Dallas and it should be a good time. Plus we'll get some ideas of stuff to try at Nocona on Sunday after watching those guys... ;)

Jay, You are always welcome to ride my bike. I haven't been on an MX track since Dirt Week so I'm sure I'll be spending plenty of time on the tail gate. If you come up with something newer, nicer or redder to ride I won't be offended. Bring your gear.

We'll make the race but prolly not much t-gating and most likely a no-go on Nocona. Just too much going on next weekend.

It SUCKS!!!! It's down to one lane about 20 miles north of the red river (or just seems that way) Allow some extra time for sure.

Jay, got a '05 CRF (450) you can put some time on if you're interested. I know you're a 2-T kinda guy though :)

I'd offer up some room to stay down here, but I'm IN A FUGGIN APARTMENT while my house sits on the market in FUGGIN OK ... it's so bad Thump gave me a door opener for his garage so I can see my bike once in a while...

Tailgating will be a no-go for me.

Here's my dilemma... I have a test the following Wed. and plenty of work to get done before that (my weeks are seriously front loaded, all but one of my weekly assignments has to be done by Tues. night), but now I have been invited to be a flagger for the SX next weekend. Do I spend all day Saturday hangin out at the SX, or do I stay in Austin and do the studying I know I should do? That being said, it's now 2am on Sunday, and I just spend almost none of this Saturday studying even though I have a test this coming Tuesday.

What to do, what to do...

No doubt. I'd be flagging. Study as much as you can BEFORE the race. Then a quick review is all you'll need.

Being down on the track is awesome. I got to walk the track before the races a few years ago and it was cool as heck. To be a flagger would be absolute greatness!

looks like me, No Mo and his friend Cameron will be there also. Last minute entries but it will be great to see everyone. Will try to whip up some salsa (hot this time) and maybe something off the grill.

I have Lou's number and hope to get in touch with you guys that way. Hopefully we will get there around noon or a little after.(Sounds like it could be a little sketchy on the traffic.)

Will you have the pit passes, or who do I need to talk to?

I'm handing off the tickets and pit passes to Okie tomorrow. You will need to find the official DRN electrical tower to hook up with the passes (and Okie). The official DRN parking area is by an electrical tower that just about sits in the corner by Loop 12 and 114. Please refrain from asking Thump which direction that is on a compass.... you won't like the results of following those directions! ;)

FYI-Just got off the phone with Tony Eeds, he will be bringing his grill like last year. If anyone wants to cook, bring your food. Individually this time, no group plan as it's getting late in the game for that. Someone should bring a bunch of chips for Slo Mo's salsa, too.

I will likely stop and eat on the way but will bring some snacks. I wanna see practice this year. Does anyone have a schedule of the practice times?

There's no telling when we will be there. Coming down Friday night and then have to run to Abilene Saturday morning, turn around and come back pick up my sister, switch cars and head to the stadium. If we are there before 3 it will be a miracle.

Any plans for tonight? I'll be getting to the stadium around 11:30-12 tomorrow so I should be see everyone then, just wondered if there were any evening festivities planned for tonight.

One other question... Can you buy pit passes at the race? All the dealers I've called around here will only give passes out if you buy a ticket. I think maybe Central Yamaha has them, but I really don't want to try to drive to Plano in Friday afternoon traffic if I can avoid it. :bang:
