There are simply no words .... Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I consider my life truly blessed because I had the privilege of knowing Lori and I will carry her memory with me for the rest of my life!
Jeremy (_SOLO_) informed me of this early this morning.
My prayers will be with you and your family. It was a great honor to meet the famous Gomer that Jeremy would tell me about. I know he thinks very highly of you and this has hit him very hard too.
I would like to share with everyone a poem that was given to Garrett Berg's dad when Garrett was killed doing what he enjoyed, riding his new YZ450f at his favorite track:
Remember this for ever
Garrett Michael Berg
June 24, 1985 - September 22, 2002 [My Son will live forever in my Heart]
For that dash represents all the time
that he spent alive on earth, and
now only those who loved him know
what that little line is worth.
For it matters not how much we own;
the cars, the house, the cash.
What matters is how we live and loved
and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard,
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
You could be at "dash mid-range"
If we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real,
and always try to understand
the way other people feel, and
be less quick to anger,
show appreciation more
and love the people in our life like
we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
more often wear a smile
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.
So when your eulogy is being read
with your life's actions to rehash...
would you be pleased with the things they say
about how you spent your dash?
Mike - its comforting to hear you refer to Lori winning for 6 years rather than losing against her sickness. That spirit right there is one thing that makes you two such amazing people. I am just in shock that this is actually happening - I think we all truly believed a miracle would take place and Lori would beat the odds forever. May Lori be in a better place and in all of our hearts forever. DW04 won't be the same without her. But we still know she will be there with us, smiling and watching over and keeping us safe.
For the most part I am at a loss for words. My deepest condolences to you and your kids. I have been praying for you and will continue to do so. :whiner:
My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this time. I feel that you truly are blessed and just know that the Lord is taking care of your beloved Lori now.
Mike - I am so sorry for your loss. She was a gift from God to all of us. Her spirit will live on in all of us. If you need anything, please let us know. We are here for you and the boys, and always will be.
Mike- It was certainly our previledge to meet Lori, you & the kids at DW03. We are truly sorry to hear the news. Ann reminded me of how Lori made her laugh at DW. We were fumbling with the motorhomes at the dump site and Lori told her "All the work we put into them(husbands) and look at them" .
Our prayers are for you & your family in this time of need.
Godspeed Lori-Revelation 21: 3,4.
HLG, I am grateful for the one time I got to met Lori and see her take care of you. I will pray for you and your family during this time. Let us know if we can help you with anything.
George
