Irish, let me see if I can borrow my friend's trailer again and I can bring both my bikes (two on the trailer and one in the back of the truck). Do we need spark arrestors at TB? Neither of mine have them, but I still have the stock bazooka for the kTm. How will the 426 do at TB? That thing was a handful for me on the poker run course at DW. I have this sneaking suspicion that TB will be a bit more challenging!

Lou, Spark arrestors are required.

Here is the list of Regulations from the LBL page:

Off-Highway Vehicle use is permitted only in the Turkey Bay OHV Area. An LBL OHV permit is required, and all OHV's must be registered with LBL.

All riders are required to wear approved safety helmets while vehicles are in operation, except in vehicles with fully enclosed metal cabs and/or roll bar protection.

OHV's must have properly functioning spark arresters and mufflers.
Riding is permitted from sunrise to sunset only.

No person under age 16 may operate an ATV with an engine size exceeding 90 cc displacement and no person under age 12 may operate an ATV with an engine size exceeding 70 cc, according to Kentucky state law.

Under Kentucky state law, direct parental supervision is required at all times for persons under age 16 operating an ATV.

Use of alcohol and other controlled substances while operating an OHV is strictly prohibited.

Passengers are not allowed on ATVs or motorcycles while in operation.

Wildlife and plants are protected. Avoid running over young trees, shrubs and animals.

Those registering an OHV for use in Turkey Bay accept responsibility for all use of the vehicle. LBL is not liable for damage, loss or theft of personal property.

Ride at your own risk. Know your limits.

The 426 will do well out there, I've ridden YZ400guys bike a few times out there and liked it. The terrain is challenging but the thing is, to take your time with the big thumper and you will enjoy it. Remember my first ride in 10 years was on that 400 and I had a ball, tight stuff and hill climbing.

Lou, spark arrestors are required on paper, but that is as far as it goes. I've NEVER owned a bike with a spark arrestor(save the DRZ) and I've ridden at TB all my life. They don't ask, they don't check. Don't worry about it.

And as far as the 426 goes...I ride a 426!, my dad rides a 426! No problemo! Turkey Bay is much more open than Cooperland. You'll get some good third gear trails to ride on at Turkey. TB has some hills where you really appreciate having a big bore bike. ;)

You think you can talk Al into coming?

Fella's look like #24 at Moors resort it is. Booked and on hold for us. They evidently start winterizing all of the cabins around this time of year and had three 2 bedrooms and only this 3 bedroom available. This one sleeps 7 and has 2 queen beds, 1 double bed, 1 hide-a-bed, 2 baths, microwave. Should work out pretty well for us. We can work out who is sleeping with who when we get there. Gonna be about $30 a night per person as it stands right now and if more join in the price will go down.

Check in is at 3 pm BUT she said it wil be ready and we could ck in around 12. Eddie ... I had her write your name down so if you guys get there before we do then you can get the key and go to the cabin. JP if you get there first tell them your name is Eddie Lucky. ;) and they will give you a key. Patrick and my plans are to get there around 12 also and go to the cabin and drop off our stuff so if you guys want to we can wait at the cabin for ya and we can all ride over to LBL to get in an afternoon ride.

JP what are your plans? Sarge we can squeeze ya in or if you want some privacy they do have a couple 2 bedrooms units left. We're staying here:

NOW ITS A PARTY. THE SARGE IS COMING :aj:

Plans? I plan to ride, fall down, drink, fall down, sleep, repeat.

I'm leaving early Friday am. Mapquest says 5 hours, so with a 2 hour Cracker Barrel layover, I should get there by noon Friday.

Too bad they don't have the Breakfast Casserole on the weekdays :(

Larry, thanks for your post about the offer. Gomer(There is no end to this guys kindness) PMed me to ask if any folks from his neck of the woods where going and offered the CRF to me and if they could haul it out to LBL. I just sat in shock for a few looking at his PM, this place has to be the best group of 'Throttle Jockey's" around!! :thumb: :aj:

Lou, your still at the top of the list. My buddy still hasn't called back yet, I'm not all that suprised, though, being a Platoon Leader on Black Cycle takes up alot of time.

Larry, if you get any books on tape from your breakfast stop you can return them at the CB at the Route 68/80 exit in Cadiz. It's just off the Interstate on the right hand side. From there it's about 15-20? miles out to the "Trace".
