Sounds similar to Colville. :yeehaw:

I dunno, compared to that CRAPPY ASS trail I got drug down on Labor Day (not far from Magee, good thing you missed it) and Wallace and some of the places on the coast, Colville isn't that bad. There's not much there I couldn't muddle through (even if I looked like a retard doing it), whereas there were parts of Wallace, and that other ID trail, and Mad River/Tyee Peak trails where I just wanted to scream/ghost ride the bike off the cliff/lay down and cry.

Dumb questions
Any local rules and regs some of us outsiders need to know about before showing up, such as lighting?(I'll bring a spark arrestor regardless)
Just how long is this..."Stupid Trail"...exactly? Longer than a stock fuel tanked CR250 could be expected to finish?
And is anyone going to hit the MX track while they're there?

AS far as I know there are no regulations regarding lights or spark arrestors. The track is about 5 km from the staging/camping area. There is trail all the way to it. The full length of the stupid trail can't be done on a stock tank, there will be a gas stop halfway.

Wow, you mean someone took you on a crappier ass trail than Karl?

Looks like Karl has a challenge now!!

Let's not tell him about THIS challenge. Yes, Guy from KTMtalk.com/PANTRA and his friends inflicted a truly horrible experience on me. I bitched the whole way (well that's nothing new).

There will be no bitching!! We will guage your abilities and attitude saturday before ANYONE hits the "Stupid Trail".Either that ,or we get you so drunk that you won`t even want to walk ,let alone ride for 6 rough, grueling, long hours!!

How nuts is the 'Stupid Trail?' I've ridden in the Ogopogo Cross-country the past two years and found some parts of the trail challenging (mostly the sloppy up hill in the back part of the course) but otherwise very rideable. How does the 'stupid trail' compare? Thanks.

Aw, you know I`m just kidding!! It`ll be easy. You don`t even have to wear all your gear! My mom could do it ,on a mini bike ,in december,at night, riding backwards, blindfolded, really really drunk, towing my sister,on bald tires, all while listening to Rita Macneil sing on the handlebars!!

Seriously. It is long ,technical with lot`s of elevation changes ,lot`s of tree`s, fallen log crossing`s, 3-4 foot rock faces(some much bigger with easy out`s).I`m geared with a 52 tooth sprocket on the rear, handgurds, skid plate, shark fin, steering damper, all on an `04 CRF450 so it`s a little easier for me . The ogopogo cross country at bear creek would be a 6 1/2 out of 10 , the Stupid trail is a 9 1/2! What do you think Keith(Kokanee)?

First of all I think Rita is very hot  And you should stop bashing her. Second, the stupid trail can be a challange but if you are in the right frame of mind or have drank enougn beer you can do it. :aj:

If you have an `04 CRF450R like myself ,then no it doesn`t. But if you have a `99 Gay Gay(Gas Gas)250 like my pal Kokanee ,then yes it does. :p

Well I just got back from a fantastic holiday in Orange county, and while there my wife and I met with Kiwibird and Mellow-Yellow for dinner. It sound`s like Kiwibird won`t make it up , but Mellow Yellow is still just thinking about it .Hopefully they both can come . If any one else from the L.A. area is thinking about it , let both those guy`s know and get them motivated. You really don`t know what you`re missing!!
