Are there any that you can fit a bike in w/out having to drop the bars or anything else funny. My drz is about 50" tall. I know it won't fit in a caravan but was thinking about an Astro. They seem to be taller. Also the bumper is lower to the ground then a full size so loading would be easier if it fit. I've been looking at full size vans but in my price range ($2 to 3K) all i'm seeing is stripped cargo vans no ac or anything. I'm thinking the astro might come w/some creature comforts. Anyone got any experience w/these things.

You have to compress the front forks (tie-down from bars to axle) and rotate the bars back to get a bike into an Astro van..

Cargo vans are hard to find with ac or anything, for any price range. You might look for a full size passenger van.

A 7 passenger Astro with no rear AC vents should work, but it would be close. A friend of mine with a 99 Astro measured his rear door top to bottom, and it was almost the same as my cargo van, with the exception of the rear AC vents. my cr rolls into my cargo van no prob and its pretty tall.
