I'll have my VCR set-up to record at least one game, (Rams/Eagles), and I just won't speak to anyone until I view the tape!;)

Rex, are you TRYING to get me in trouble!! :p
I didn't say he turned down riding for football. If we had plans to ride somewhere I'm sure he would tape it. He did last weekend. We don't have any plans as of yet, but I think Phelan would be too far for a day ride, especially on a Sunday.

I'll probably make it to the TWMC enduro in Feb (El Mirage). I can't think of anything that drives me more nuts than an Enduro, that's why I keep coming back.......

Good man Holeshot. Believe me - the frustration I think is not uncommon. Even the best guys in the club occasionally DNF - check the results, you'll see.

I'll be there for sure. 1st club race of the season and I can't wait.

So Aimee - where are you moving to ?

Also, I have next Friday off - anyone want to go out and ride that day or on that weekend ?

Hemet, CA.
Scar,

When you weigh as much as I do, you have to revalve and respring. Ther just is no way for me to ride it stock. When they are brand new, I can get about one or two rides in before the susp. "BREAKS" in and gets too soft.
Thats why the YZ feels firm in the showroom, all the seals, bushings and bearings are all new and tight. After a couple of rides they loosen up and get free.At your size and weight, I would recomend a good setup. You see the 250F is set up for 120 to 140 pound guys who race the 125 class. Not 6' something 200# + guys like us. And that goes for any bike. No bike stock will have a stiff enough setup for guys like us.
If you dont believe me, next time we ride, take my bike for a spin, and not just on a dirt road. Take it down the nastiest trail you can find, it will open your eyes.
I believe that everyone can and will benifit from a custom suspension set up for there weight and riding ability, regardless of what brand or size of bike.
Trust me on this one, there is simply not a better mod you can do to any bike, period!

Hey! ktmboy and D-R! Count me in. I wanna check out Phelan.

I found the general area you guys are talking of, but directions would be helpful. I'm coming from Redlands, so I'm going up the pass and ???

And just wonderin' any of you guys ride the Gilman Springs / Jack Rabbit Trail area down here? It's one of my favorite places and practically my back yard. We should have a SoCal DRN ride there and see who's really good at hills!

Bundy,

I absolutly agree, Thanks for the imput.
I had the susp done on my xr600 and the klx was already done. The XR was soooo much better afterward, the KLX I purschased and it was already done and I really like it. I just didn't know about how well the new bikes were set. I went to race techs web site and they too recomended stiffer springs. I'll let you know if I work out the deal on the new one. :)

Well, it ain't exactly a "Designated OHV Area" if you know what I mean. But we've never had any trouble yet - knock on wood - and most of the nitwits (FMXer's) still try and ride Beaumont. It's got awsome hills and single track valleys. I'll see what I can do; this kitchen pass cost me a shopping trip to the outlet stores.

And D-R, I've decided I can't go riding with you, as after looking at your website, I'm afraid you might be my evil twin!

Just kidding, I'm looking forward to it. And congratulations on the little squirt! We had a girl, oh 7 months ago, and I thought I was crazy to build her a
website :D

Our crew has been known to facture the occassional law. Especially elk. Your not fending us off that easy, we smell the blood of a new riding area. :p

Re: Beaumont,

Hey we ride there on occasion.

Re: shopping trip,

Just max out the credit cards ondirt bike gear then she can't use them. Hey, it works for me. :)

Hey how come I always have to be the evil one? :p

Cool site William. It is amazing how those little bundles of joy take over our lives. It is a great thing though.

Directions:
15 north to the 138 west
Go about 7 miles to Sheep Creek Rd (right).
Go about 2 miles to Phelan Rd. (right)
Go east about 3 miles to Wilson Ranch Rd. (right)
Follow Wilson Ranch Rd. (turns into a dirt rd) till it ends (about 1 mile) in a dirt parking area. You'll see the natural terain track to the left down in the lower area.

Looking forward to Sunday.
