So true, the fine quality of KTM is like the finest Austrian beer, the ATK is like the finset Single barrel whiskey and all those Japanese brand are just Soy Sauce in a pouch :nener:

WOW so I have both, the finest austrian beer, and the finest single barrel whiskey. (97 ktm200exc, 05 atk450) I thought it was just the adrenaline when I ride, but I guess I am actually getting drunk off the bikes

through out High school (and a couple years after) i was a bike dealer, im 23 and have owned at 1 time or another over 200 bikes from yamahas to HDs. in the past-pre 86/7 vintage, i would trust a honda or yamey over any other major brand. after the 80's quality wise most of the bikes are on the same level. sure each brand has its own pros and cons but quality wise they are all very close. right now i have an 02 cr250, and a 92 kdx200 and as of tonight a 98 yz250 for dirt bikes. 64 pan HD, 73 cb750 honda, 81 gs450 suzuki for street. never owned a hodaka (but a good buddy of mine had a dirt squirt :) gasgas, nor a ktm. MX technology from brand to brand is so close today.
my 2 cents

i just love suzuki. especialy the rm125. ive had 5 of them. ive ridden friends rmz250's, 450s, and rm250s and i just keep going back to the 125. i love how you can whip them around. i just dont understand why everyone is switching to the 4 stroke, the 2 strokes are still great!

Poll does not allow for a mix - Our family looks like this: KDX200, CRF230, KLX110, XR50, KDX50 and R1200GS.

2 Kawasaki's, 2 Honda's, 1 Suzuki (KDX50) & 1 BMW.

GO BIKING!

Where are all the Husky riders!

Anyone considering a new bike, do not count out the Huskys. these bikes are on the same quality playing field as the Gassers and Ktms. As an added benefit the 06's are street legal off the showroom floor. Ive owned 2 Kaws, a honda and a suzuki. For offroad nothing compares to the euros.

I picked a Suzuki because i got my 1999 Suzuki and loved it! I also like yamahas. Because i got a YZ250 and i really like that. I have never had any other bikes. But ive heard that hondas are a more comfortable ride but not as much power, Suzukis have alot of power but not the most comfortable ride. I disagreed with that because my 99 Suzuki is the most comfortable thing i have rode! Along with my 250, well, thats just a very fast bike!!

Honda the best. I guess i just grew up around Honda and things that are the color red. Ive only ridden Honda and Yamaha but Yamaha's bikes are geared to low for me. I like Hondas light weight and speed.

Ill prolly try all the diffrent brands of bikes before i die hopefully :)

How old are you? Don't know of very many people who race a 80, yet fit on a 250. Or is it just sitting there till ya get bigger?

A Cannondale E440r - rebalanced motor with all the updates. A very easy engine to work on and the parts are inexpensive! Closest bike comparable is a KTM 450exc.

Yamaha because they are rock-solid reliable and the build quality is first-rate.

I ride a TM and a Yamaha have selected other but would rate the yamaha over the honda due to build quality and parts such as pistons and rings last longer in the yamaha also the yamaha seems to have a wee bit more power and reliability.
But my first choice would be my TM i have just purchased it was the first 2 stroke home at the lastest ISDE in Taupo New Zealand it has to be one of the most rapid bikes ive ridden ( unsure what it is there is a pic in my profile )
