I was so exited about this sx season when I saw the contenders. But in all honesty The season has pissed me off more than anything. I thoght it was great when windham won round one but then it all went down hill when stewart busted himself in pheonix, ever since then it has been RC,RC,RC,RC,RC :blah: :blah: oh one Reed in there some where whoopi. Reed needs to drink red bull or some thing. Windham had tons of momentum after he won so many last year but of course he hasn't shown up since anahem 1. :bang: my only hope for the season rests on bubba's return. Help me obi bubba one you my only hope. :|

If RC would not have had such a hard time picking his bike up and getting it going in the right direction, KW would not have won A1 ricky was smoking every one in the mud. Daytona is going to be a joke, he might lap everyone.

The best competition is over here. The top GP racers should come here if they want to see how they measure up to RC.

It will be great having Bubba back to see how he stacks up. IMO, RC will keep riding the same pace he has been. Bubba will pressure him at times, but for the most part he will be fighting Chad for 2nd.

If RC laps the field at Daytona, that would be the greatest single performance in SX history. I think the odds are against it, but never say never when it comes to RC at Daytona.

I agree with the comment on langston on the KTMs-they were making life miserable for him.

Tssk, Tssk Marcus. Surely you don't blame his near loss at the MX championship a few years back on his KTM, do you? (those were Excel rims and spokes ;) )

What about Nate Dawg on that SXF? What about Lil' Hanny?

Come on, man....

It's a lot of things, but the biggest, IMO, are those Pro Circuit bikes. You can't explain away 4 guys suddenly pulling all their collective heads out of their asses at the same time and....uh, yeah. They all ride the same bike. :ride:

Bubba will win or go down trying. He'll get 1st or 18th. Later on, he'll get smart and his talent will carry him as far as RC.

Or more accurately, RC HAS shown up. Last year was the championship of the also-rans. As the song says, The Man is back in town.

Neph it was more the 250sx that was the problem for langston, the 125 isnt so bad, but for sx i would still not rate it as the best.

that 250sx was just not winable on, i think RC should be forced to ride one as a handicap system:)

I was there and here's my observations. After watching Reed and RC closely during practice it would appear that Reed has similar speed to RC but when it all matters RC appears way more willing to push the limit. There was at least three times during the main I thought RC was coming off that Zook but each time he managed to save it and motor on without giving Chad any break. For my eyes Millsaps was clearly the fastest rider in the 250F class (102 entries and 1 actual 125). He got a horrendous start and then charged through the pack like he was possessed, had the main been 20 laps instead of 15 he would have caught Langston. Millsaps may have been the fastest person through the whoops out of either class.

...It seems like almost no one could race the KTM 250SX at the pro level and finish without crashing...

Until RC got on one you could have said the same thing about the Suzuki RM250!!!!

Forget the bike.. RC would beat half the field on a DRZ.

Reed did very well at Daytona last year. Didn't he beat everyone by 30 secs? I don't think he will beat RC though as its a bit rougher than your typical SX track.

You can tell that Reed is giving every ounce of himself trying to beat RC. I respect him for that desire to win week after week. He stays focused and gives all he's got. Reed has pushed RC to a new level and that really shows with the lap times over everyone else. Nothing like watching 2 guys push each other to the limit.

Well, yes you could with Travis Pastrana riding it...Can you imagine TP on a KTM250SX ? Yikes!

I mean, with such high caliber riders such as MC and Langston going down all the time on it and even MC himself said on tv several times that the handling wasn't up to par...I'm sure he was putting it nicely for the tv cameras being that he had just signed a contract with them...And now Langston is winning like crazy..KTM needs to put a linkage on those bikes or something

To be fair Langston did win a 125 National Championship on a KTM, put him on a KX250 and see if he's still winning like crazy, then you will be comparing apples to apples.

I think Reed has emotionally snapped, realizing the fat woman has probably sung.

I agree 100%. The look on his face, before he had his helmet off, spoke volumes. He tried to put a happy face on it on the podium, but when his mechanic was talking to him before that he looked like someone who just realized that he's in a totally hopeless predicament. RC had an off day and Reed won a race. But no AMA Pro is going to have frequent off days and counting on off days so you can win won't net you a championship.

Reed did very well at Daytona last year. Didn't he beat everyone by 30 secs?

Yeah, when RC was home rehabbing his knee. ;)

But there were a couple of good things about the St. Louis broadcast:

1) Denny Stephenson is WAY better than Cameron Steele
2) Robbie Floyd is better than Todd Harriss
3) Davey Coombs is an excellent sideline reporter, though he is not as cute as Jamie Little
4) Josh Hansen was usually referred to by his given name instead of "Little Hanny"

I do like Denny more than Cameron, but DAMN he talks fast!

and Robbie Floyd calling him "D-Bone" was kinda dumb.
