Now who would plan a wedding the weekend of our ride?? Some people these days....

Did we ever figure out how many people are showing up? Or at least on Friday night?

Early ride on saturday sounds good to me. I'm usually up at the crack of dawn cause of those damn tweety birds and their singing. If you havent seen the video than i'd suggest being there alittle earlier.

Dan, do we need to do anything more from last years level one training? Also do they have the new cards and computer up and running? I only have the temperary card but it does say something about May1. 2004?

I dont know the count for friday at the campground but i plan on getting there between 4 or 5pm. That will give me time to setup and relax before night fall. I already started splitting the firewood. Should have plenty for several fire rings for both nights.

Not sure if you need to watch the video again if you have the paper tags. They now have keytags that they scan when you go, so if anybody who doesnt have a keytag yet will get one.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Paragon does have a new minor policy. A waiver needs to be signed by a parent or legal guardian AND notarized before the kids can ride (anyone under 18) There is usually a notary at the park for this, but it doesnt hurt to have the paperwork ready when you get there, especially if you are bringing someone elses kids also. You can download the waiver HERE

Hmmmm you guys have me all discombobulated now...video? Whaaaaaa? I know last year we had to listen to some guy talk then we got a piece of paper that said we took the safety course, do we have to do that again? I lost my paper, I think it got washed with my CamelBak...

On another note...Rooster and I were talking about food for the weekend. Who's camping on Saturday? We were thinking about seeing if you guys wanted to do like a mini pot luck type thing where everyone cooks one thing, or makes something and then we can all pig out. We have a big pot that we used to make chili in for dirt week and were thinking of a big pot of pasta with italian sausage. Who's in?

HI guys,

On the video thing I thought that if ONE or more of the riders had watched then every one else is ok.
If you had to decide between Sat or Sunday for the ride what would be the best day???

brpray..........it is best with a big group that everyone or at least most people watch the video. We generally split up into different groups, and if only a few people have seen the video that means that they all have to go with one of the groups since at least one person in the each group needs to have seen it. Usually if you are only doing one day, Saturday turns out to be the better of the two.

And yes squeaky.......you will need to watch the video....there is stuff in the video that wasn't talked about when they did the talks. The video is about 15 minutes long, and even though everybody does not need to watch it, it is recommended. And now with the video, once you watch it, you don't need to watch it again. They also have gone to computers now, so if you happen to wash your key tag again, they will have the info on computer....and they do use plastic keytags now instead of paper.

sick.....If you had the plastic keytag, they should have the info in the computer that you already watched the video, but don't quote me on that since I was wrong once in my life before.

I was looking at directions for the camp ground and it has me confused for some reason, maybe I'm just reading it all wrong but does anyone know the easiest/quickest way to the campground off the NE extension? Also is anyone else coming from the philly area maybe want to meet up on the NE extension, maybe at the Allentown Rest Stop fri afternoon/ early evening around 6ish maybe?

Hey sick 96, give me a call at 484-239-6187, I am i the allebtown area and would be happy to guide you up. You take 309 north at the allebtown exit anyway, not the NE TP.

Sounds good, I could take 309N up to allentown but it takes a while for me because County Line Rd is always backed up which i have to take to Allentown. I figured the rest stop would be the easiest since its on the NE extension. Is the allentown rest stop before the allentown exit going north on the NE extension? Or are you saying we would take 309N all the way up and not the NE Ext.? We'll see what happens I guess.

Oh and my name is Sean so when I call i dont confuse ya :coocoo:

Hi

Thanks for replying to my Partner Up Paragon posting - I'd love to join up with your group on Sat 11th June. Where, who and when should I meet?

Well there'll be plenty of us there, not sure what time. One thing for sure Saturday morning is you can look for a white enclosed trailer being pulled by a reddish-orange Ford F-150 with Iowa plates, that's me, Rooster, and Papakeith...

Also, you can probably look for the Suzuki Ez-up, RMGuy usually always has that set up.

Just look for the group of idiots at the far end of the parking lot....that would be us, if your not sure ask in the trailer, they should be able to point us out
I'll be in a blue Chevy pick up with a blue KTM and a grey Cannondale in the back...should be easy to spot.
If you are there before 9:00 you are safe, we usually don't get out of the parking area until between 9:30 and 10.

Glad you got my reply on Paragons forums. Keep an eye on the places to ride section here, and the damn yankees forum for other people looking to ride in the area too ...click here for Damn Yankees.... You'll find just about anything you ever wanted to know about dirtbikes here, just take a look around. And pop into the new members section and introduce yourself when you get a chance.

Damn I better stop or Tony will think I'm trying to steal his job as the welcoming committee

Waaaaahooooooo!

Man, I'm ALL FIRED UP about this ride. It's going to be nice to ride some new terrain. Elevation change will be nice again too, I haven't seen that since the Reno ride in 2004. Also looking forward to meeting those that I haven't already mey at DW or other rides.

Is it time to leave yet?
