Yes, please do! :)

We still dont know the exact way it happened but i'm assuming he tried doing a superman seat grab but went head first over the handle bars. Oh well, we'll just prop him up on the bike and kick it over while snapping pictures.

Damit Dave! How many times do i have to tell you. Dont wreck without a camera around. Its not as much fun picking on you if we dont have a visual image to go by. Sheesh!

Well i guess i have a nice spot somewhere so here. :p

Hope your heal up nicely and dont look like a freak with a funny shoulder. Happy?

Very nice!. Thanks!

As for the visual image, it was nice... I was going down a steep hill that had loads of very soft earth spread around, kind of like mulch, grabbed the front brake a tad harder than I should have, did one of those slow motion wobble things with the front tire  let go of the front brake, but by then the entire bike had started wobbling uncontrollably down the hill, then "whoomp" down we both went :yikes: me landing hand then shoulder onto the only nice big flat rock around for 30 feet or so then the bike and I proceeded to slide the remainder of the way down the hill together, again, in slow motion. Not only was there no camera, there were no witnesses to the accident itself. Only the aftermath. :)

that is most of the single track there are a few that didnt make the map yet, and one fairly long trail being cut that will tie a few places together for a nice loop. Including a trail from the top of howie hill that will connect to the existing single track.

Well boys and girls, are you ready for another one of those famous Treejumper stories? Yes, i had another one today that almost caused me to miss the Paragon ride. An no PK it doesnt include a ground hog but it does involve one of his relatives.

We had our annual Memorial day weekend ride. All was going great and my riding was actually pretty impressive if i do say so myself. :) Part way through the ride i took over the lead to get out in front of the quads. I'm flying through a twisty section of woods that enters in to a field. As i'm railing alittle berm out jumps a Mr. Porcupine! The little biotch tried to pull a Langston on me and take me out. He ripped my right foot (only good part left on my lower body, well parts that get used  ) off the bike and backwards. This causes me to do a lowside slide into the field and the first thing i thought was i snapped my ankle like i did at Dirtweek 02'. Now this porcupine was no lightweight. I'd say he went a cool 16" at the back and a whooping 30#'s. I rolled that puppy about 8' and he still got up fighting. :)

I hobble up from the bike limping like a one legged dog trying to flee a Chinese Restraunt. The group pulls up wondering what i did and i proceed to tell them i hit a porcupine with my bike. Their like sure Chuck! We believe you. Then one of them noticed about 30+ quills sticking out of my boot and pants. Good thing for thick leather and shin pads otherwise i would be in worse pain than i already was. Anyhow i pull the quills out ( the top half anyways) and swap my ankle brace from my bad ankle to my now worse ankle.

I have slight swelling in the ankle and pains that shoot up to my knee. Must of pulled my knee when it ripped my foot back off the pegs. Guess this is another one of them "Can only happen to Chuck" things. Anyways i'm in no major pain and finished out the day riding so i will be at Paragon no matter what. You guys just have another thing to pick on me about.

Some remaining quills in my boot.

The only thing I ever hit on the bike was a red tailed hawk. He must have been focused on a mouse or something in the woods and didnt see me which is odd for a hawk. I have some picks of the hawk I'll post when I find them. And I almost hit a bear once...I never realized how quick my bike could do a 180 to turn and get out of there.

ohh and for anybody interested, I updated the map of Paragon so it now shows all the single track and ATV trails if anybody is interested. If you want to print it, click the view full size button first ...click here... any of the pink trails not in the loop of single track are ATV trails, as well as a few small sections of the single track have been turned into ATV trails.

It's not lookin good for Jared and I.... I blew out my disc.. L5 and have been doing rehab for a couple of weeks now... MRI says I need to go under the knife and the Doc wants to do it next week. BUT - I want to go to Red Bud, so I'm going to hold off till the week after to have it done. You never know though... if the rehab gets me good enough to kick the 4-fify over... Jared and I will still do the ride. I'll for sure be only riding all the easy stuff.

I could wip up a big ole pot of tail mix stew... All I'll need is a little roost, some fresh tree bark, a hand full of small river rock and a dab of 2 smoke oil to keep it all from stickin together. Sprinkle lightly with sand to give it a bit of grit and a bit of clay to give it some color.
Yum ! Yum!

Sounds to me like you can get all those ingredients right at Paragon!

OK its only a week away, so what are the plans for meeting times. The Park opens at 8:00, but I'm sure some people will probably be watching the safety video before the ride. If I remeber right, we usually hit the trails at 10, but just wanted to make sure.
