Great! Just freakin' WONDERFUL! I guess it HAD to happen sometime, what with kids spending more time on-line instead of playing sports the whole mentality of letting somebody else coach your kid is now here. Of course that brings along with it the parents that believe things should be run the way they think even if they are not involved. Oh sure the kid will convince the parents they are little angles (angels) at practice while the facts are quite the opposite but the parent would know differently if they hadn't gone to Starbucks or the wine bar during practice.

A dark day indeed. :|

I'm not a mod or an admin, but I do stand behind their decision. Your son had some fun stuff to say, and stories to tell, and even offered helpful advice to others on this board (a few times). Unfortunately, as you very well know. He did not heed the warnings given him, or follow the rules that are posted on every page of this website.

I will testify that he was notified of his behavior before his suspension. More than once. Have you done a search of his user name and checked out exactly what he wrote?

Again, I will testify to the fact that he was clearly warned, and told appropriate behaviors.
i highly doubt that you'll be banned for voicing a legitimate opinion. You didn't blatently attack anyone, dish out any personal insults, did not resort to calling names, and even used understandable language! Nor did you make accusations as to anyone's level of intelligence.

I find it very refreshing to have a parent check into their kid's situations without blazing into the situation with flaming accusations.

Welcome to DRN

Also, I might add that I'd gladly welcome you son back as long as he plays by the rules, and shows a little respect for the authority figures on the board.

Belive me, After reading his post there was one that really got me to be honest. He stated he would not ride with a trash bag and pick up trash. Well guess what he will be doing on our next ride, TRASH DUTY. However I am not seeing any of these warning you are testifying about. Please be so kind as to link me or direct me to them. I covered all his post before opening a thread like this. We have perticipated in many clean up rides and he must have had his "smarty britches" on for some reason.

ATTN: ADMIN AND MODS...... I certianlly appreciate your help on this situation. I am grateful you have allowed his usership on your OUTSTANDING site again. So if you see a child with a trash bag wondering around in the woods on your next outing...........

Thanks for stepping up and doing more than most parents would

You might want to point out to your son that he stumbled in to a site that is run mostly by dads so he was at a distinct disadvantage compared to most of the places where he could have gotten away with things.

If you ever been fortunate enough to go to a DirtWeek you would know it's quite the opposite :) Capes, tutu's, pokin' sticks, exploding cheese, police tape and chalked outlines, a Milky moon, kitten sacrifices (fake stuffed ones) and soooooo much more!

Don't wear masks... but still want a cape :whoa:

Ivan
PS... many of the warnings might have been deleted when the offending post was finally deleted. We are all volunteers so we don't really take a lot of time to hold anyone's hand.

Usually we warn, then delete and then ban. Or at least that is how I do it... those who have a real interest in being part of the DRN community usually stick it out.

Then they want weirdo masks.

I just want a cape.

I have a cape. Bow in jealousy to my diminutive awesomeness!!!

Seriously, May 17th will be my college graduation.

Due to politics, the school is not letting me walk across the stage.

So I decided to race that day instead.

With any luck, I will wear the cape and do an honerary finishline jump as symbolism of the stage crossing. It's just too bad I don't have the "superman button" on my CR. I can only manage to find that one by accident.
