What kind of temperatures should we expect? The wife is trying to figure out what to pack for the kids... highs? lows?

I'm going to Troy July 27th but I have not been there in 12 years, how long does it take from Mojave and hows 9 mile road now

Plan on 40-60 minutes from Mojave to the turn off for 9 mile depending on your driving habits and whether you are pulling a trailer, another 30-60 to Troy for the same reasons. Troy campground is closed so you'll have to pick between Fish Creek and one of the overflows. Troy overflow has running water up front now.
